Wouldn't be a new thing for different studios to work on remasters. Additionally, Bamco owns the rights, I think. That said, if the only way for me to get Xenosaga again, I will buy a freaking Switch. Wouldn't be the first time I bought a system for 1 or 2 games. Looking at you 360 with Tales and Lost Odyssey.

No, but Xenosaga needs at least as much work as this is getting really and I don't see them doing it without the actual developer. The thing it needs most is a more unified style, since going from the first game to the others is jarring in terms of the visuals.
So there will be more .Hack// game if this one sold well, right?
Right?
Make that 27.Wow, what a nice surprise for .hack fans. All.... 26 of them maybe?
Yes this is a full remaster of the trilogy into a single release with some additional/changed content, on PS4 and PC.

Do you need to play the original four games to know what's going on in these?

Could we not already do this in the original?
No, but you need to know about the events of Roots to get some points.

No. They become most relevant in Vol. 3 but even then it's pretty minor and they'll explain outright what happens and why it's relevant by then.Do you need to play the original four games to know what's going on in these?
Only guy you could marry was Endrance
So we're getting this before the original 4 games...I mean beggars can't be choosers but damn...![]()
I wouldn't say so. It's Bandai Namco.Nice surprise. Bigger surprise that it's coming to PC. One of the many PS2 era series that people have been clamoring for as a Remastered collection. Check it off the list.
Can anyone explain it simply this release ? From what I got from the thread, it's a remaster of the second trilogy of games. How many .hack games are there ?
Is it something that a newcomer can enjoy ?
