.hack//G.U. Last Recode (HD remaster, PS4 and PC) coming out

.Hack fans unite!

I imported the .Hack versus game because I thought it was going to be the last release of the series. Guess I was wrong :D

Edit: still have my copy of .Hack quarantine. Hoping this rerelease will drive the price up to 200+ ;)

First two games are not that expensive, but Part 3 though... well if you sell all three of them you will get about 200$

Roots is a horrible mess of an anime and too long for it's own good.

True but it really provides good background on alot of stuff in game (unless they someone change it and explain it in this version). Stuff like
Phyllo, TaN, a bit of Ovan, and other past characters that show up later.

Also Forest of Death

Hopefully this leads to IMOQ getting a rerelease.

They're tedious games at times, but I love them anyway. IMOQ in particular has an incredible atmosphere.

Hell yes! These are the last PS2 games I've been waiting for a remaster of! I just really hope that it doesn't end up not getting localized because .Hack has been dead outside of Japan for ages now. I mean, all the work is already done but I could see that happening.

I remember us getting the original four-part series when they first came out. I wanted to get into them because I liked the concept, but could never get very far into the first game as it just didn't click with me. My brother was able to go through all four parts, though. I thought GU looked interesting, but never had the time/budget for it.

I'd be happy to play it if they could release here in some capacity.

Definitely buying this, I loved the original .hack games on PS2. Does anyone know whether you can play as all the party members or is it just the main dude?

Roots still shouldn't be watched before you start and finish at least Part 2, because else you get spoilered too much. Roots aired simultaneously with Part 1+2 and spoils the hell out of people that didn't play the games back then too. Last episode of Roots aired with the release of Part 2 even.

I really should sell the games. But I guess they aren't worth that much unsealed/unwrapped.

Part 3 is the most expensive one. You can get 100$+

Yes this is a full remaster of the trilogy into a single release with some additional/changed content, on PS4 and PC.

Count me in. I played the first two on PS2 and would love a shot a playing them again.

Edit: Oh this is the sequel series not the original. Well whatever I'll play them.

Yes! More Alkaid!
latest
Hell yeah! \o/

Yessssss! Out of nowhere :D!

also, I'm reading out there about a new .hack game on the works too?

Best "E3 news" so far !

I wish they were doing the original games, warts and all, but I never played these and will definitely buy. Best news of a lackluster e3 for Japanese game fans so far.

I've played about an hour of the first .hack//SIGN... But I'm in for this.

Remember when this franchise's concept was innovative and different?

Oh wow, I only played GU vol. 1 and never got around to picking up the others, so I"m in!

But I'd love for the original series to get a remaster too. Great memories playing(and waiting for) the series.

They have aged really badly.

They'd need a lot more work and would be horrible to introduce new people to the series.

Yeah I remember them being a little rough around the edges all those years ago too.

Would be awesome if they could just make a .hack//sign game up from the ground up.

But surely if this niche jRPG can get a remaster, Xenosaga can. No excuses Namco.

Looking at what they're doing here it's pretty obvious why that's not happening. MonolithSoft can't work on it for these platforms like CC2 can for this.

I'M RIGHT HEREEEEEEEE

Legendary performance by Yuri lowenthal. I have played so many jrpgs and I believe .Hack GU has an all-star voice cast that we rarely see.

Everything about the localization of GU was spot on. I had many genuine LOL moments from the forums.

Wouldn't be a new thing for different studios to work on remasters. Additionally, Bamco owns the rights, I think. That said, if the only way for me to get Xenosaga again, I will buy a freaking Switch. Wouldn't be the first time I bought a system for 1 or 2 games. Looking at you 360 with Tales and Lost Odyssey.
