Halo 2 street date broken

All locations in the Grand Rapids and surrounding areas are locked down tight on the title. They either don't have it or aren't selling it.

Damn! I knew it would be too late to go after work. Oh well, I just wait like everyone else.
 
GOD DAMNIT! Meijer in Commerce Michigan had it this morning at 7, now they arent allowed to sell it! Any other michigan places still selling (near West Bloomfield/Farmington Hills)?
 
Couple people at my work picked it up, and they were the last few people allowed to buy it before they took it off the shelves. Novi, MI.

I would've bought it but I got a kick ass deal on the ltd edition.
 
Jetjevons I have 90 inches of hot projector wallspace waiting for bootup of that disk just as soon as humanly possible... you call me the instant you get it!!
 
EB are not selling till 8 am on Tuesday. So unless there's a smaller chain store or something in LA that's broken the date no joy Jkoo!

I'd double check with the local stores since the midnight opening for Halo 2 is a nationwide event. Of course not all EB's will do this so it helps to ask around.

if by some miracle, you stumble on it in the next few days, grab me a copy :)
 
You know, if the copies are just sitting in stores I bet there's a small import store or something that would be willing to kick down a copy on the sly for some extra bucks.

12am MIDNIGHT MADNESS!!1111 at the local EB stores around here. I'll be there to pick up my copy, as the store is less than five minutes down the road from me, but don't see the point since I won't be able to play until Tuesday afternoon.

Ah, who am I kidding? I'll be up until 4am playing the game. :D

some TRU are also doing midnight madness, i suggest calling your local one if you havent reserved a copy and are looking to pick one up at midnight.

i'm not particularly looking forward to working that, only because i'm doubtful anyone will show up.
 
Clearly Gaming-Age is THE place to go for gaming news and rumors when even the bigger sites are reporting stories from its forums. :D
 
I wonder if anyone who lives in an area where Halo 2 is being sold would buy me a copy and fed ex it if I was to kick down the neccessary green?

Same here, my EB is right down the street and opening at midnight. I keep telling myself.. ahh why get it. I'll basically just be able to look at it then go to bed. Then I realize I'll at least have to turn it on and take a look... this will continue on into playing until I pass out.

If you lived in the same city, you could buy it fromt he same store the seller did.
 
I'm pretty sure whoever is buying it is requesting next day delivery. I mean, the guy is already paying a couple hundred bucks for the game, why not pay an extra $20 or so to get it quicker? :P
 
Man I really want this game. I'm in Chicago on Tuesday at Studio Gigante and can't play till the next day! Waaaah! It's not fair.
 
Several reports on the Gaming Age forums--which included photos of the limited edition of the game--said that several individual Meijer stores, a self-described "grocery and general merchandise retailer" that operates in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky, were selling the game early. Outlets in Toledo, Ohio, were mentioned specifically.

edit: nm, i see now 279 members and 865 guests It used to be about the same except it was 270 members and 270 guests during the highest times. This place is going to break down during some of the EGM/Gamespot/IGN score review threads me thinks
