The COD crowd loves using k/d as a benchmark. Since everything else in this game was aped straight from that series it only makes sense to include k/d right where everyone can see it.

I don't think they rely on public info to see who uses what code and on what console. Preview program consoles are flagged. If I popped my halo reach beta disc in a non-preview Xbox 360 it would disable live access for that console.

Xbox reps are on gaf and are probably active because the beta is on. If they see soneone discussing the giveaway of codes they would probably do something.

The preview program is to test OS updates, not to get access to a beta 10 days early that people paid money to access.

Played 3 games. Loving it. The movement already feels better than COD AW, but not as smooth and fast as Titanfall. The Spartans have a good weight to them, and the thurster pack doesn't feel as clunky as the exo suit does on COD. Hit registration is great. Also, best pistol since H1.

343i had marginal to do with the MCC. They launched Halo 4 extremely well. They've had A LOT of time to gear up for this beta. To not give the people who bought their broken-ass game, just a little crumb, like early access, TEN DAYS, to the Beta, is insult to injury.

It's laughable. I'm sure they already had this promotion or whatever you want to call it in place, but I'd have to imagine with how AWFUL MCC has been/still is for some, they would've changed their plans and tried to gain some will back by saying "Hey, we fucked up on the MCC, as a small token of our appreciation for sticking with us, we're giving you early access to the beta. This is just the first step towards gaining back your trust."
