I'm not sure what you mean by the auto-locking thing... hydra isn't the first halo weapon to function this way. Probably the most balanced though.
I think I'm misunderstanding your comment on how it reloads... I just tap the reload button and it starts reloading.
I also don't see what's wierd about the jumps... Are you talking about nest to top mid? It does have a lip that complicates things, but it allows skilled players to crouch jump, while the lesser skilled will end up dashing and clambering. Skill gap stuff... I'm good with it.
there are a ton of skill jumps that make the map more dynamic than it gets credit for... If anyone feels confined to corridors, they are doing it wrong.
Halo 2 rocket launcher was the first.
Best to empty out the weapon completely in my experience, so I use it like a three time use weapon. Really flows better with the timing.
