I don't know how y'all do ultra high sensitivity. Always keep it on default.

There's times where I end up dying because it takes like a full second for it to completely turn around, but it what helps me keep a steady aim the most.
You definitely need to increase the sensitivity in Halo games or be at a huge disadvantage, especially vs KBM players. I was pleased to see that Infinate really let's you customise the sensitivity and joystick controls to find a sweet spot.

Personally, I have the sensitivity almost maximum but actually lowered the ADS sensitivity which I found worked really well for me.

I feel like im in slow motion on Halo right now lol. I wasn't playing any shooter when the last flight came out. I recently started playing warzone and then the vanguard beta after about 4 months of no shooters. Maybe that's why i feel different aiming now.

Im going to trying messing with sensitivity in Halo to see if it gets a bit better for me.

It seems a bit early to write the game off based on the modes 343 have decided to show in a technical preview. I struggle to believe they are basing a 5 or 10 year plan on deathmatch and B2B only.
Doesn't matter what modes it has, the gameplay is straight out of 2001. Walking slowly and floaty jumping as the only movement just doesn't cut it in 2021.

Any changes to the flight test from the first? Have yet to play it unfortunately.
Textures have been ramped up like mad, looks a lot better, gameplay a lot more fluid now and new weapons

Unfortunately this games not going to hold my interest for very long when it releases. It’s basically just ancient halo gameplay, which does not cut it in almost 2022. Halo 3 with new weapons and maps is how I’d describe it, which is not what I want. If I want to play halo 3 I’ll play MCC.

Halo 5 had the perfect building blocks for a modern halo game, the controls were perfect. This isn’t going to light up the player charts I don’t think. Too slow and the skill gap is far too big in the sense that new players have no ways to defend themselves or survive/escape once a good play engages them due to having no options other than walk slowly and jump. Halo 5 was the first game where Spartans actually moved and felt like how Spartans have been described. Back to slow lumbering tanks it is I guess.

Haha you have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't owned a playstation since the PS3, don't intend on owning one any time soon. Bought every xbox on day 1.

Zero concern trolling. I love Halo, but this is a big step backwards imo.

big step backwards without playing it? right... You're complaining about the way movement works in every halo game. That's a pretty dumb reason to express concern.

No. Sprint, side and clamber are there. The dash is even there but as a pick-up not available.

Only things not seen yet are hovering in air and the slam

Nice and those last 2 abilities sucked anyways imo

The gameplay is defined by the maps, weapons, equipment and scoring system, as much as it is by the movement speed. There's a big difference between a 50 player Battle Royal mode and an 4v4 team deathmatch.

It literally sounds like you have not played it. It’s the perfect balance of old and new, not only that but it’s not slow at all.
Of course he hasn’t played it. Just another who can’t handle Xbox success.

People forget Halo is massivley based on its movement system and traversal, bad players can become good by understanding the maps, simple esports analysis.

I will miss dash. Halo 1-3 movement was simply a product of its time, and is very ponderous, limiting and restrictive these days. 5 got it spot on in my opinion, and gave it a nice modern twist whilst still feeling like Halo.

Note that I say this as a casual Halo player, and not a sweaty Halo CE bastard that never wanted things to change.

Can’t wait all the same, I know I will love it regardless.

Man I just got a shotty swat game and it was impossible to make kills. It almost makes me disbelief my sanity so annoying they're always a whole second ahead

I complained loudly about getting US servers all the time (I’m in Scotland) on MCC. Eventually, they let us choose our region, but the damage was already done and most of the player base had left.

They need to get it right this time, and not skimp on regional servers when they finally launch.

Wwe need to band together to match in EU servers haha, hated it in MCC going on US servers there was literally no point because we would get slapped

What? You don't like dying by a nade without even hearing it explode?

I mean I can deal with leading my shots and such but when I need to BR someone with 8 shots midrange and they still dont die it's like...

I'm far from a pro about having played Halo since it's release I'm quite confident in what should happen lol

How is slow gameplay/movement old? I mean, Battlefield isn't particularly a fast paced game either.

The point is, with shields and the weapon types Halo has, the TTK will always be higher or need to be higher than other shooters. Having a low TTK destroys so much of Halo's combat sandbox.

For example, if the TTK is incredibly low it negates the advantages Plasma weapons have versus shields and the advantage ballistic weapons have against no shields. If there's barely a difference in the time it takes to remove a shield if then then why bother using projectile based plasma weapons? (You can already see issues with this with how 343 have handled/ ruined the Plasma Pistol/ rifle variants in their games).

The movement therefore has to be slower otherwise you'd find yourself pumping bullets into a guy only for him to zip away from you before you can finish him off, or making slower projectiles useless. It's not a twitch shooter, you can fight back if you get ambushed, and that's part of what should differentiate it.

Oh here we go, you too? Lol. Check my other posts in here, I provided a photo of me playing it.

I'm complaining about the way movement works in THIS game. Halo 1-3 came out 14-20 years ago now. What was fine then is not fine now.

Sprint in infinite is not sprint in 5. The sprint in infinite is utterly useless. It's like a 5-10% speed increase lol. Unless dash is a standard ability for everyone at all times then it's not in the game.

Of course he hasn’t played it. Just another who can’t handle Xbox success.

I guess my avatar does fool some people hahahaha. I'll post it again for you dummies making fools of yourself:

Read my post history ffs if you think I am some Sony fanboy who hasn't played halo lol. You guys are just as bad as what you think I am.

yes it would be totally fine now. Valorant's movement is based on Counter Strike, how old is that now?
and guess what, Valorant does just fine in today's modern landscape

Only way they can mess up the MP is if they fundamentally change how the guns works.

Movement is fine. Don't remember everyone being so high on H5's Spartan Abilities either.

I know it's been toned down compared to 5, but it is still there and that was the question I was responding to. Thrust is still there in some form just not as a normal ability for all. It is still in the game lol. Kind of a weird take

What I mean by "Not in the game" is its not standard for everyone at all times so it doesn't count when talking about regular player movement.

Sprint is there, but like I said it's there in appearance only.

Ahh, the cable management of a team blue. Gives em away everytime.
Just bought a new house and am in the process of setting everything up, but thanks for the concern on being able to see my Apple TV'S cables.

Absolutely amazing. I get called an "xbot" all the time on this very forum and now I'm being called "team blue" hahahahahahahah. You guys are hilarious.

gotcha. Well, with forge/custom game lobbies I wouldn't be surprised if you could nearly emulate Halo 5's movement system.

We don't do social security numbers here in Australia. Unlucky.
So it's not a twitch shooter, it's a mechanical shooter and it needs to stay that way. Halo 5 MP was great, and pretty fast paced despite the levels being larger. But Halo Infinite is just as fast as they shrank the battle grounds and added so many features. So unless you're only playing with Marine level AI Bots, I cannot fathom how you think this is slow unless that's the way you play it. That being said, if you don't like it, you simply don't like it. If that's the case, why are you still commenting? Move along there are plenty of others that do not share your views.

It's not fast. Fast and frantic are not the same thing. Halo 5 wasn't a twitch shooter either, not sure why you mentioned twitch shooters.

So I'm not allowed to comment in a thread about the play test with my thoughts on the play test? Really?

You might be received better if you didn’t spend all your time trolling Xbox threads on this forum.

I understand MrFunSocks MrFunSocks point. Infinite is taking away many things that Halo 5 added, thruster being a big one as well as the overall speed. Personally, as a big longtime Halo fan, I applaud the decision to peel back things to get Halo back to being...Halo. The series had its own identity - Halo 4 and 5 were getting away from the Halo formula.

But - will this dialed back Halo click with a newer, younger audience? Time will tell. I think BTB has a chance of being really popular. 4v4 slayer+objectives will probably skew towards the more hardcore Halo heads.

Halo 1-3 came out 14-20 years ago now. What was fine then is not fine now.

For me, ive been playing online FPS since Quake 2. I havent found a modern FPS that does it for me.
The only titles that I still stuck with after all these years are Counter-Strike, Battlefield, and Halo.
I prefer Halo to the rest for one main reason: a better player will win engagements 99% of the time. Player skill is the ultimate trump card. Halo is not a see first, kill first game. The shield/health/guns/grenade/melee system allows for ridiculous outplays - moreso than any other shooter to date. Halo has to be played at a slower pace for this system to work - otherwise people could just run to safety at any moment.

It took 343 three games but theyve finally gotten Halo mp gameplay back to where it should be.

Seeing as how the newer Halo MO of 4/5 didn’t click with much of anyone, going back to what made Halo popular seems a wise choice.

I'm aware that the entire Halo Franchise has not been a twitch shooter, that's not the point I was making. But saying the gameplay is more of a 2001 shooter as opposed to a 2021 shooter is in poor taste and simply untrue. Halo's style is not Battlefield or Call of Duty. Halo 5 may have been a little quicker, but the levels were bigger to accommodate that.

Was watching Doc and Timmy play yesterday, looks fun. If the streamers play the game will be massive. MS should pay off whoever they can to ensure Halo MP is a Must Play... (it unfortunate but that's how you make people want to play!)

If this game does poorly on the live charts it will be so to lack of features and support rather than gameplay. The gameplay and the new equipment pickups seem to be really popular among everybody.
