Can you answer whether co-op and / or spartan ops use dedicated servers?

I just recently ran through Halo 2 on Legendary on Halo 2 Vista for the Legendary Achievement and I found it fun and challenging. You just have to be cautious and methodical on the levels where there are Sniper Jackals. On almost all (if not all), you have access to sniper and long range weapons yourself. Don't run and gun. Be cautious,"cut the pie" and take out the snipers before they take you out.
I think the most challenging part will be getting the control schemes down in multiplayer when switching between Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4, along with all the weapon variations and different power-ups between all four games. Then there is the challenge of trying to remember where everything is at in 90+ multiplayer maps! I just booted up Halo 3 for the first time in years last night and going back to dual wielding took a little while to get used to again. I also kept trying to sprint out of bad situations as well, lol. I'm looking forward to master all four Halo multiplayer experiences at once. It should be fun and challenging.

What the fuck is with the arguing over the achievement?
Achievements are personal things, I've got the Halo 2 Vista achievement for beating the game on Legendary, this is a game where you can rename the intro files to basically make the unlock the game achievement basically unlock instantly, I have friends who did it, I don't care about that because I see the achievement was something I earned, the achievement is more about me earning it, I don't think less of someone for having 10 achievements, same way I don't care if someone has 1000.
Just focus on your own achievement, no one cares about it, you shouldn't care about others.

I never got past the second level on co-op, it was easier to do single player Legendary. Halo 2 had terrible co-op options.

I did it with a Banshee on Vista Legendary. Try it when you go again!

Predictably located enemies with slow reaction times that sometimes kill you first shot?
Man, so impossible to beat.
The only poorly designed sections were the boss battles. Other then those, everything can be overcome with a little bit of thinking and skill.
Everything will use dedicated servers.
It won't change much in the case of co-op game modes because of the terrible netcode used in those modes where the slowest, worst connection in the game limits everyone else.

Will the game feature both Halo 2s 6 remastered maps and the standard Halo 2 versions of them? Or just the remastered maps?

Both H2's original mp with all its maps, and the 6 visually updated ones running on a new halo xbox one engine will be in H2A. They are seperate experiences. Obviously the original halo 2 code is everything you remember where as the Remastered MP wont have glitches & is a new engine entirely.

I've got the Gamer Club Unlocked thing, so I'm tempted to just bite the bullet for 20% off, but I really don't want to miss out on a collector's edition or the bandana skull from the GameStop pre-order.

Also is there any way to get the other pre-order skulls in game?

I gotta say, the one thing that Halo 4 has going for it is Team SWAT. The DMR makes Team SWAT a lot more enjoyable for me, and the sprint actually feels right in that gametype.

Yeah I don't like it either. Hopefully there is a way to get all the skulls to use etc. Remember though, it's probably less 343 and more retailers and Microsoft coming to agreements.
Maybe i missed the info...does someone know if they are planning to just upgrade the graphics in H2:A or are they also adding cut content?
The e3 demo is apparently a bug ridden mess so if that's what you were hoping for then no. It will include the previously vista only halo 2 maps

Preorder bonuses should be cosmetics at most. Stop it with the gameplay-altering preorder bonuses. Another thing they didn't learn from feedback over Anniversary/4.
I wonder if Halo 4 cosmetics carry over if you redeemed them, they're unlocked to everyone, or they're just gone now.

Cutscenes look nice, doubt I'll preorder right away with all this talk of preorder exclusives. I'll wait and see who offers what.
It's still gameplay functionality lost to the ether once Live eventually goes down. Which the original Halo 1 doesn't suffer from.
If it's an early skull unlock and we can still acquire the skull via the game, then okay. But this time they're talking about skulls specific to each retailer, adding more annoyance if those bonus skulls are only available via that retailer.

Hmmm, Thel is a Halo 4 Elite wearing Halo 2 armor, but in the Cairo Station footage we have the Elites are just Halo 4 Elites with the exception of their helmet, which is the Halo 2 helmet. I hope this means for the final game they plan on giving the Elites full Halo 2 armor but for E3 they didn't have the full suit ready.
