#we...back?

It's ADS visually, not mechanically.
Huh?

- Sprint confirmed.
- ADS confirmed (not)
- ADS un-confirmed
- Descope confirmed

People now largely not mad.
Let me get some of that slurp.

Spartan Abilities still sound like pure nonsense
+ Sprint.

He didn't say ADS wasn't in the game.

If it's not in the game, then it's a simple tweet saying, "Calm down folks, ADS isn't in Halo 5, and nor will it ever be, it doesn't fit."

Pretty simple tweet to say right? Will he say it? Probably not..
Right, because...

Halo 5 beta gameplay leaked showing ADS on the BR. Everything went downhill, the salt mines overflowed. Then, during damage control, Josh said that it's only some kind of weird hybrid visual ADS, that descoping exists, and that movement won't be affected and that hip fire accuracy remains.

Basically it's ADS but it's supposedly not ADS.

so if ADS doesn't do what ADS is supposed to do...

why did they change the scope animation?

Because, it's ADS. Only here can a clip be show aiming down sights and people say it isn't ADS.

Everyone in here just needs to make sure to play the halo 5 beta and leave well thought out, coherent feedback on the things that you don't like and feel do not belong in halo. If those things are not changed by release, don't buy the game and continue playing the master chief collection.

Simple.

What? NO. That sounds like it'd get stuff done! Far better to wallow in unproductive rage and then buy it anyway.

Haha, hahaha.

That is never ever going to happen.

It's functionally no different than scope. It does not affect gameplay differently than scope.

There's a fucking huge difference between pretty much what we already had, and CoD style ADS.

Basically

Classic zoom > This >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Classic ADS

What Halo 5 has is mechanically zoom, however visually ADS.

Omg kill streaks in Halo 5. Why?

Whut?

Maybe if the posters of neogaf stopped expressing themselves like 12 year olds, the so called "feedback" from this site would be taken a bit more seriously. But alas, internet gonna internet.

Been there, tried that. Developers aren't listening to feedback on message boards, no matter how well articulated.

This is driving me crazy. . When you scope in you can see the gun and iron sights. What does the speed in which it takes to scope matter?

In Halo, you got more of a zoom with the BR.

From a CoD wiki:

2. Aim down sights - holding the LT/L2/Right Mouse raises the weapon up to your eye level and you look through the iron sights of the weapon, or any optical attachment you may equip onto your weapon. Firing while ADSing makes your bullets fire in a straight line down range into whatever target you lay your sights on.

Whether hip fire is as damaging or not doesn't matter to me, it's ADS. The player scopes in looking down his sight for a straight, aimed shot. How is this not ADS?

Then why do it?

The visual part of it is as much a part of the experience as any mechanical changes like speed etc, is it not?

It is not ADS in the sense that it doesn't have any of the negative qualities we associate with ADS, i.e. nerfed hip fire accuracy and reduced move speed while aiming.
