So now that everyone has played the beta a bit longer what are your overall thoughts on Halo 5?

True successor to the throne?
CoD in space?

True successor to the Halo name. Feels great, plays great, the new abilities flow really well with how Halo plays and change up the game while retaining the classic feel. Loadout and ordnance are removed so my biggest complaint with Halo 4 is out.

Game needs a few touches, Automatic adjustments, removal or option to remove killcams, some lighting adjustments, and general bug fixes. But beta is beta, and that's why it's here 11 months out instead of 3. Generally, I'm loving it more than the other Halo titles and all the other recent MP games I've played, and I've been playing since CE.

343 almost lost me with Halo 4, I was ready to jump ship with mcc, but this beta is my lifepod and I'll ride it to the release date. Anyone who says this isn't a proper Halo game is off their rocker, because this is the Halo formula.

Sweet. That's about where I am based on what I've seen.

Customization options are really my biggest concern. If 343 actually show us that they've learned the importance of options and give us plethora of customization then I think this will be the best Halo game yet. Have yet to play the beta sadly but it does look great.

Yeah, but he's also a believer that the dong doesn't need sprint to slay effectively. He's doing this to prove you don't need sprint to do well, but argues against it because of how it helps people escape, despite the balance changes against it.

Sprint's not OP, but it's just a nuisance. Even in BTB sprint isn't needed, just need more vehicles. Infantry combat BTB isn't the best, so people need to embrace vehicle combat more imo.

I like the DMR better, in AR starts I grab the DMR rather than the BR.
Sometimes I trade the BR for a DMR in other starts, and the magnum for a LR/Hydra/SR.

Its Scope is bad though now.

More difficult to use? No. Magnetism more than makes up for the lack of a burst, especially since the BR burst can mean not all of the bullets hit.

Yeah the DMR is definitely not a difficult weapon to use, but I find the BR so damn easy to 4sk people or be a pest by flooding bullets their way. Not saying the DMR a tough weapon and that's why it could be interesting to spawn with, but I'm thinking the benefits of the BR still provide players with a reason to pick it up if you don't spawn with one.

I just want to spawn with a single shot precision weapon that can be effective at range.
