Looks like MS is finally offering up retail XB1 titles on
Games with Gold for next month.
Nice. Pretty good value in Gold these days, I snapped up a 7 month for a mere £11.
So I just bought an xbox one in preparation for Halo 5. How is MCC doing now a days? I got two other buddies to join me in this journey, I hope we can play together with minimal hitch.
Hope you like the campaigns M8. My MCC experience last night:
Me and friend try to play but he keeps lagging. Probably a problem with his connection but he claims he plays GTA online lag free.
Me and Tawpgun party up and try to find a game. It keeps dropping him from search. We decide to have a warm up Octagon in customs. The map fails to load. We both reset the game and retry the custom, with success. We then try MM together and no dice. individually we can find games so we fly solo.
In the pre-release lube up, Dan Ayoub claimed that the MCC was using a matchmaking algorithm that would produce the "fastest, fairest online Halo experience" to date. The majority of the games I played last night were a great distance from being fair and the matching speed was sometimes snail-like. The worst example of a night of bad randoms being on my team approximately 70% of the games I was in:
A fair neg 95 from my teammates there.
Did I mention the uneven teams? That's reared its head again after a month or so of stability. Several lopsided games in BTB (an awful way to start a 1 sided obj game, people understandably quit immediately and then it's 4 rounds of zzzzzzzzz). Check this shit out that absolutely never happened in the original games:

Started 2v3, ended 4v3.
Renowned fan favourite Ghost Town is the highest weighted map in MCC H3 in both 4v4 and BTB. MCC is good if you can power through all that BS though.
