Frankie referred to the difference as something like "unbound" or "unlocked", so there might be some canonical reason for the difference between the Halo 4 symbol and the terminal symbol, I dunno.

The Forerunner books are also directly relevant, but I can't say I'd recommend them. I'd look up summaries instead.

I would recommend Cryptum and Primorium. Lots of background information on the Forerunners and the Didact. Some people believe the books to be boring, but personally I loved them. I have yet to finish Thursday War though.

Had great splits and then fell off the edge on the way to Bowser.

When I was younger, I had that kind of patience. I went through a 100 floors of DMC4's Bloody Palace, only for Shadow Dante at the end to fuck me up again and again. Took at least 2 hours every attempt, until I finally fucking did it. There was much joy and celebration.
I don't think I'd have the patience for that anymore, :lol
