I agree. It is an awesome Gametype. If it is not in the game I hope they will be able to patch it in after launch.

That's true. You'd lose the aspect of protecting the bomb while arming though which was always a cool part of the gametype

Either way he should be able to acquire and use Tombstone and Desolation if H2 says it's 1.5


updates should have been

the one right after launch - to fix matchmaking

the big update - the one that changed most of halo 2's weapons and enabled DLC. This is the one on the map pack disc. (this is 1.1)

the update that included the fix for the teleporter bug on relic right after all the maps were out (this is 1.2)

the update that enabled Tombstone and Desolation (1.5)

I'm on a slim as well. I used a friend's map pack disc to install the maps a few months ago. I just checked and I am on 1.5 too....weird.

I'm not trying to derail anything. I think my Reach elephant emblem and "GOP" tag gave me away to all of HaloGAF a long time ago.

Now this is a really good point. I loved sneaking into the base on Last Resort to lower the gates so people could drive straight in and splatter people huddled around the flag area. Same goes for Standoff and Highground. It added more strategy to objective games.

I'd like to know if this was even discussed in development and the reason it wasn't added to any maps.

I second all of that. I think maps designers have more possibilities with interactive elements and moving parts of the map too.

It can be designed in game engine and with minimal netcode required for synching of such interactive or moving parts etc.

I've always wanted to see a map be like inside some huge factory or machine like structure where the certain parts of the map are only accessible when parts align correctly. It would be a great way for on map spawns of power weapons, key map positions for snipers and more possibilities.
