the focus on the Chief's humanity, combined with the loss of Cortana, the speech at the end and Chief stripping down, implies that the Master Chief will not be in Mjolnir in Halo 5.
What the fuck? Not only i cannot re-create my Halo 3/Reach emblem, i cannot play without an emblem?
FUCK THIS SHIT!
And to get the frigging green visor, i need to play god fucking knows how many months?
As i complained earlier, something being out of my reach discourages me from playing.

Over?! Noooooo! Lol I think this game is getting the GTA 4 treatment lol.
BF3 sucked tho man. Thats a 5/10 game on the 360.
Halo 4 is just getting started
I've been meaning to ask about hitboxes. Are they exceptionally big in this game? I've noticed myself getting headshots while aiming at above the shoulder, clearly missing the actual head. Or is that just latency showing me something different from what's actually happening?
- Why wouldn't the Chief comment on the new Spartans? I mean, what?
- There should have been focus on Earth's greatest hero not being dead.
- I wish more of the equipment used were commented on by Chief/Cortana.
- It feels like three books characterising the Didact, was ultimately a waste of time.
- Del Rio will go down as one of the worst characters in entertainment history.
S4s: The Chief's stoicism makes sense. The particulars of the Spartan IV's are unimportant to him in light of his current objective. I'm surprised, though, that Cortana didn't quip something along the lines of, "well, the UNSC has been busy."
343 is writing the S4s as a small deal. They're just a part of the fiction.
Chief being a big deal: The current arc of the fiction is taking an anti-S2 tone, mostly because of the fallout with Halsey. The Chief is a legend however, and like I said above, the situation surrounding Chief's first contact with humanity doesn't allow for pomp and circumstance. Lasky literally owes his life to the Chief, and Palmer gives a noticeable amount of reverence to the Chief. I was happy 343 didn't overplay that scene, personally.
equipment: I'm guessing you're talking about all the new weapons? Sure.
Didact: We haven't seen the last of him, not by far.
Del Rio: Hyperbole. Del Rio is not an important enough character to go down as anything. He's a plot device and nothing more.
Del Rio was the only one who could actually deliver good lines. As a character, I didn't like him, but his voice actor was great and the only one who showed emotion.

Just played a game of Abandon where a guy with an SR rank of 72 and his buddies capped the flag 4 times before spawn camping us because we were lucky to spawn sunny side. Utter shit.
Did anyone have the same reaction as me when (campaign spoilers!! -->)
Tillman and the other scientists died? I just busted out laughing both times playing through the campaign when her face was disentegrated.
That was too good and totally unexpected I guess that makes me the sick one, but it was hilarious. I will probably play the campaign again multiple times just to watch that scene.
The Didact kinda fell victim of the Harbinger effect for a lot of Halo 4. His voice was in the background so frequently that he essentially just became background noise, with his grand lines of self importance and will being completely ignored, he was speaking to himself.
Also, what's up with 'Auto Sentry' representing the majority of allied AI, as a function of time, in Halo 4?
I haven't had a chance to talk about meeting Gui yet.
Man, he is a super awesome guy. Met up, ate some good ramen together, chatted about Halo 4, life in London, making big changes in ones life and of course HaloGAF in general.
My friends, who just happened to be in London at the same time didn't know what to make of the whole, "I want to meet this Portuguese guy from the internet." but we all had a good time.
Introduced him to Forbidden Planet too, the lucky devil.
Adrift is not good lol. Bunch of Orbitals tunnels smashed together. Combined with lifts, promethean vision and mecha robots...
Get out of here.
Only good map is Haven and that map could be so much cooler looking.
Ragnarok is good when you are winning bad when you are losing.
The rest of the BTB maps are ALL snowy big maps with a bunch of rocks...no soul at all. tons of nooks and crannies to hide in and snipe away with power weapons like its friggen CoD. No spot has any identification.

I think there should have been explanation for the sake of all the players who haven't read any of the books, a couple of my friends had to ask me why there were still Spartan IIIs left as they thought they had all died on Reach. Wouldn't have taken a lot to explain their backstory.
Someone explain the Spartan III timeline for me a bit. It's the only one I'm confused about. Reach had them there, but weren't they also what Kurt was in charge of in Ghosts of Onyx, which was long after Reach?
Did Bungie just pull a "Fall of Reach" and retcon the IIIs?

No course not I still have the occasional need to prove I'm smarter and better at video games than 15 year old kids. Cant believe Over sold his Halo. Plus my GF bought it for me that would look silly trading it in for cash.
Is there any sort of power-level comparison between the Spartan programs?
As in, all other things equal, would S2s beat S3s, would S4s beat S3s, would S2s beat S4s, etc. Not referencing any particular Spartan like Master Chief, just speaking generally.

Ah, alright, I never remember the time frame on Reach to the rest. Ghosts of Onyx was after 3 (or during?) right? So why do III's "get created" during that book, yet appear on Reach? Just ret-con?
I feel like a lot of the Halo 4 maps are just pretending to be symmetrical.
I'd really like to see the heatmaps; large portions of Complex and Vortex go unused. There are a lot of great building/room designs that seem to be wasted on maps that don't seem to have any logical flow.
I'm actually enjoying the multiplayer. The DMR, Ordinance and the lack of a server browser are a fucking pain, but besides I think the core game is pretty good and definitely a step above Reach.

It's really difficult to say. Since no S4 has been developed in fiction to the extent of S2s and S3s, there is no real way to compare. I guess you could assume that S4s received better augmentations compared to S3s, like the S3s got better augs than the S2s, but even that's no guarantee of them being superior because the S2s were written as "better" (or more special) than the S3s anyways.
