I feel like when people blame the netcode, they have know idea what they are talking about and just say netcode because they heard someone say it before.
Now you're thinking with portals.

Oh wow thats terrible, I would rather the pro's dropped Halo completely. If the competitive factor is gone what is the point in trying to keep that scene alive? I know they have paychecks on the line, but until they make it clear that Halo needs to be better next time round they are always going to get a game that isnt catered to them.
I just cant get over the fact that with that quote he is basically saying "eh, we all know Halo sucks, but lets cover it up to keep this pretence that competitive gameplay still exists!
When did he 'go pro?' if he didnt hit the scene until Halo Reach then he really is a joke character.
You have to be bullshitting with that quote. I refuse to believe it's real. :lol
You guys don't recognize that quote?
Halo 4 won GOTY at IGA.
what?
Maybe they didn't receive review copies of Borderlands 2?Halo 4 won GOTY at IGA.

Still, they should've been able to buy copies for themselves by now.
Borderlands 2 is sooo overrated
Borderlands 2 is sooo overrated
It really is.
Nah it's pretty damn good. It's only flaws at all are some wonky drop rates and a tiny bit of dry writing amongst a ton of great writing. Hate to use the word flawless, but it's pretty damn close to it. If those kinds of games are not your type though, I can see people not liking it.Borderlands 2 is sooo overrated
Halo 4 plays like shit online.
I play games for entertainment, and Borderlands 2 is by far one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've had in a long time. The writing is great, the gameplay is solid, and it's a shit load of fun with 3 friends.
Don't see how it's overrated.
More single player complaints from Karl? Who would have guessed?
I dislike the fact that the sword's anti slowdown when shot ability applies to all bipeds wielding the sword. So Elites no longer stutter when taking a shotgun round or stutter when their shields pop (simply because that is how the Elite charge AI is). And as per the usual, Knights with Binaries and Incineration Cannons still aren't fun.

Connection quality is poor overall. What do you mean?
It was poop before the TU.Considering it's probably Reach's netcode and they turned off proximity chat, which would reduce bandwidth usage.. more than likely the hosting records being rebuilt from the TU still.
Adrift 0-0 Gameplay - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz9jRoDWB7I&t=18m29s
lol perfect

Possibilities:
1) Bandwidth savings (Same reason Halo 3 had push-to-talk)
2) Telemetry shows that so many people are in party chat or mute other teams nowadays that they might as well turn it off for the bandwidth savings
3) They don't want or removed the ability for voice chat to be mixed into the soundscape (processing power savings) ala Halo 2/3/Reach. I think this would be the least likely though.
I think it's probably 2.
Do we know why they turned off proximity chat? Or was it just to reduce bandwidth? It was so cool :/
This is depressing. Really miss the time when you could go into matchmaking and almost everyone had a mic. Yea there were asshats but sometimes I met some pretty cool people
The social aspect of Live is pretty much dead now. It's why I like Miiverse so much.
While there were some asshats, it was also pretty cool to meet and make friends on Halo 2 just after meeting them a couple times in matchmaking. There's about zero chance of that happening now.

Anyone else have their LIVE go down? All of my friends just got disconnected from Xbox but the internet is fine.
Yep pretty much. Used to have 100 friends during the Halo 2 era, now I'm down to about 40something. What a shame.
Also friendly reminder, it's been over a month since release and still no working waypoint fileshares.
lol perfect
no one on live uses mics.Thank you.
I love Party chat but it ruined the social aspect of live. I wish more games followed MW2's lead and banned party chat in some playlist. Would be cool if there was a Team Social or something.
Lttp?

No working fileshares and no word on if they're actually going to start collecting Forge content. I really hope they aren't planning on putting maps that were worked on for less than a day by people that had played Halo 4 for a half hour in matchmaking as the initial Forge content.

How much were you payed to make this post?I'm only 1 day and about 150 games shy of my total reach play time. Fuck, I'm so happy Halo 4 is leaps and bounds more fun than reach.
I'm hoping we get some updates in the future like multi team, 1 flag and doubles. Those are going to be fun to play again. I'm super bummed about waiting for new spartan ops. I play those every week.
Good news is I'm getting into the new forge now. I'm jumping on this hunger games forge map thing that everyone is making.
It's so awesome to have a fun game to play again, right guys?
My total Reach time is roughly 10 days. Looks like my Halo 4 time is at roughly 3 days, currently. Those times are with everything (campaign, FF/SpOps, Competitive, Customs and whatever else) included. So i'm about a third of the way into my total time with Reach. If we're just comparing Competitive Reach play to Halo 4 WarGames matchmaking, it's 7 days to 2. Not bad.I'm only 1 day and about 150 games shy of my total reach play time. ROFL! Nice one, Barrow I'll dance the slurp!

That game was the definition of pathetic. If all a team is going to do is camp out and be a bum, why are they even in the tournament? Show some combat initiation skills. Try and draw the other team out. Do something. Anything! lol.Jesus, that 0-0 match on Adrift was sad, but I guess that can happen at a local tournament, especially in a place as ho-hum as my hometownLa Crosse, WI.
Were they using default Infinity Slayer settings? I feel like Adrift could use Rockets mid to encourage map movement.

I absolutely hated BTB in Reach. Never touched it. I can at least shoot the breeze in Halo 4 BTB and have a decent time. Between mixing up CTF, Pro Slayer, and BTB, I don't usually burn out on the game. But I do have stretches of pure annoyance that piss me off and make me want to trounce my xbox. Those times are spaced out at least. I'm not really a map control guy or someone who misses the ability to spawn camp, and that's really just because I play alone so much. So a lot of the ill will toward the game that others have I can't really say I share. The randomness in this game really does help the individual more, but I can totally see how it would take away from or hamper competitive team play. Absolutely.
EDIT:
