I assume everyone in here has a copy of Halo 4. But I'm going to offer mine up in the "Free to a good home" thread at some point this weekend. Thought I'd mention it.

I have serious issues with using the term "nerf" unless extremely necessary. For example, the DMR doesn't need a nerf.. it needs to be taken out of loadouts. Nerfing results in a watered down Halo game like H3, so let's find other ways to balance things instead of "nerfing" everything.
You know how annoying it was to read thread after thread to "nerf" the crappy H3 BR because it was the go-to weapon, instead of buffing other parts of the sandbox? pls, no nerfs. Let Halo have a powerful sandbox again.

I said damn.Uses a better engine, too.

The idea for a tournament is fine and all, but I think it's coming across too much as a promotion for a product/company rather than a tournament. My original point was the *promotion*, not the tournament itself. The way I see it is that without Virgin, there would be no big tournament right now. You can say MLG would have had one but it's not a guarantee. Plus, if MLG does have one, who benefits? The players do. Any excuse to get people playing in big organised settings the better.
The truck is a gimmick but for a lot of people it shows a sort of commitment to the cause. Having some prize is better than no prize at all. Sure, for the first one, the settings are kinda iffy and what not but at least it is something. Would MLG have sponsored a prize? I don't think so.
As long as there is support for the community I believe that the community can, in turn, make that support better focused. If Virgin starts having higher skilled tourneys? Fantastic. Let's not shoot them down for trying to get everyone involved for the first one.
Plenty of sports and esports alike have tournaments sponsored by big companies. So much so that SC2 is saturated with them. Halo has a chance to be big again. I wanna roll with it.

i have a buddy i'd love to offer it up to that has been out of a job for quite some time now...
its more a sponsored contest then a tourney. and nothing is wrong with that.
Hope Destiny make you happy since H4 let you down cant wait for your next OP.I assume everyone in here has a copy of Halo 4. But I'm going to offer mine up in the "Free to a good home" thread at some point this weekend. Thought I'd mention it.
So they blocked the escape JiP trick?? Doesnt seem to be working anymore?
My wired controller is starting to die, it just disconnects when the part of the cord that connects to the controller is in certain positions. :/ This suuuuucks, all my wireless controllers are busted in one way or another.
I just tried it with "Incoming" players and it still worked, I'll try again with JiP when I can. You were never able to adjust your network on the voting screen, are you sure that's not what happened to you?
Its a shame your giving it away Ghaleon, I feel like it may be worth holding on to in order to see if they make significant changes through the TU. Its small enough not to take up too much space and who knows if whoever gets it next will use it much.
I was able to adjust my network if i voted and wasnt able to back out before though?
what is the origin of this and can i steal it for my avatar?
At which moment, exactly? The scene pretty much starts blown out before Chief is on screen..
If you could tell me the exact moment you want I could grab it, just made myself a checkpoint right before the scene
Oh hey look I'm back
Did they save Halo yet?

If any if you are looking for an awesome game Shadow of the Colussus is on sale in the PSN store. For a 2005 game it's pretty damn amazing, I've only battled about half the colossi but omg it's fun. The horse is amazingly animated for a 2005 game. So good.
No but it looks like Halo 4 has destroyed HaloGAF.

pfft, Halo 2 began the downward spiral of Halo gameplay but there are still millions of fans. HaloGAF will find her coping mechanisms much like anyone else.
We did, it's called Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Here[/URL], in 0:04 to 00:06 but the scene is a little too brightly.
I was the most excited of my friend's coop group to saw "Haven" in campaign.
I just realized that the Binary Rifle would be pretty balanced,a nd not so insanely frustrating to fight against with one simple change: descoping when you're shot.
GG, 343. GG.
telltale games said:We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise — something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories
...
“[Dan Connors was] speaking more to our goal of wanting to take on a major gaming franchise someday,” Telltale’s senior vice president of publishing Steve Allison told GamesBeat. “[We want] to build a narrative game series that supports another franchise — as we passionately believe [our game] would not compete with or cannibalize [Halo 4 or the next Half-Life.]“
“Will we do this? Yes, we believe we will some time very soon, But the franchises mentioned are totally speculative and used only as an example to frame the idea.”

from the gaming side... http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=506815
that would be pretty sweet actually.
The campaign is not something I will ever play again. Totally forgettable.
I'm retired from the OP making business.
I nominate Duncan for the Destiny one.
My issues are really fundamental to the design. Given that I play predominantly BTB, they'd have to get rid of flinch, JIP, instant respawn, the global ordnance system, reduce the DMR scope to 2x and remove the Plasma Pistol from load outs before I'd consider playing it again. Good grief, I got sad and frustrated just typing that list. :\
If by some miracle they do, then I'll snag a copy on sale. But I feel pretty good that I won't regret giving to someone who will hopefully get some enjoyment out of it.
