Thanks to rev3rb for letting me use his stream to test my TACTIVIEW(TM) setup (not like rev3rb had much choice anyway)
I feel so extracted.
What program did you use to draw this?

Gears in like 1 hour?
Welcome back.RIP MLG Halo.
If you dont treat your game as an esport its not going to be played as an esport. Even for awhile CoD was more popular than Halo but when it came to MLG events Halo was still more popular, even when MLG tried CoD at first, it was ignored and cast in shadow by Halo.
Remove ranks, so people have no idea where they stand as a player, no motivation to actually win, ignore the demand for spectator modes, competitive playlists, skill gaps, weapon control, add randomness in and you have all the wrong moves to make your game sink in the competitive players eyes.
You now have 50,000 people on average playing Halo 4. Most of which are in traditionally non-competitive playlists. BTB, Infinity Randy Slayer, Action Sack are top 3 right now accounting for more than half of those players. What do you expect though when most of the maps large, your underlying additional systems from this iteration all add more and more randomness, and your playlist management is a complete punch to the dick to competitive players. Of course Throwdown will instantly sink down to the bottom of the playlists.
You have not captured the CoD players. You have done nothing progressive, you've ruined Halo, you've got the barebones players that would just always be playing Halo no matter what game was given to them. You have ignored communities like HSH, MLG, and this shows, people have left the game. They aren't playing it.
And the user experience...don't even get me started, its awful.
Msg me when you're ready.
RIP MLG Halo.

Someone needs to make a HaloGAF News show once a week every week. Keep us up with all of the cool posts, Halo news, and arguments that have gone on in the last week.
This week on HaloGAF, Junior starts arguments and gets shit on. Halo 4's population peaked this week at 40,000 BELI343. ExWife posts more .gifs of women and Wahrer continues to make sandbox posts and drawings. TU info was released in this weeks Halo Bulletin, looks like 343 dropped the ball again. RIP in Peace.
What's the talk about SSDs?
For the next few (maybe 5) years, SSDs will be the only way to reduce IO delay between processor and system files on HDDs. I'd recommend using them only for system resources, as well as computationally expensive software, including rendering software, Photoshop, etc. They're overpriced due to slow adoption, lack of demand and expensive parts, but they can be worth it.
Makes me really sad to see Halo be this unpopular.

TBH I'd recommend more/faster RAM than an SSD on a budgget. SSDs are compromises for reading files when you can't have that data in memory. At least until prices drop. And he's on a budget, so a decent HDD will suffice, like a few people here have mentioned.
When everything else in his rig will be nowhere near top-of-the-line, it's not really justified.
I still haven't got myself an SSD, but when I do I'll do the same. Network drives for videos and music, documents, downloads and working directories on a separate, internal HDD.Yep. Most people would be fine with a setup like mine, with the OS installed on an SSD, in my case 64GB, and most games, media, porn collection, etc on external TB+ HDDs. Works fine, and you get the OS performance benefit of the SSD, without the cost of high storage.
TBH I'd recommend spending the money on more/faster RAM than an SSD. SSDs are compromises for reading files when you can't have that data in memory. At least until prices drop.

Isn't 4GB of RAM usually more than enough?

It's not all about size, but nowadays I would recommend to most people to go for 8GiB. Kingston HyperX if you can afford it. Speed and cooling is almost as important as physical memory.
Found it.I think Over said he was looking at 8GB but I don't remember the details.
Didn't know Corsair made 1333MHz DIMMs. I'd tend to recommend spending the extra few $ for faster RAM though.ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M - Moederbord - micro ATX - Socket FM2 - AMD A75 - USB 3.0 - Gigabit LAN
AMD Athlon II X4 740 - 3.2 GHz - 4 cores - 4 MB cache - Socket FM2 - Box
Sapphire RADEON HD7850 - Grafische adapter - Radeon HD 7850 - PCI Express 3.0 x16 - 1 GB GDDR5 - 2 x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
Corsair Builder Series CX430 - Voeding ( intern ) - ATX12V 2.3/ EPS12V - 80 PLUS Bronze - 100-240 Volt wisselstroom V - 430 Watt
Cooler Master K280 - Midtowermodel - ATX - geen voeding ( ATX / PS/2 ) - zwart
WD Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX - Vaste schijf - 500 GB - intern - 3.5" - SATA-600 - 7200 tpm -buffer: 16 MB
Corsair Value Select - Geheugen - 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB - DIMM 240-pins - DDR3 - 1333 MHz / PC3-10600 - CL9 - niet-gebufferd - niet-EC

We already have HaloGAF radio. I don't think enough goes on to here to make this possible.

To be fair, MLG tournament is a vast amount of those numbers without a doubt. And no H4 tourney this weekend.
EDIT: Hey! I just posted a .gif of a guy, ok!
As for PC building I typically follow a few rules
- Intel CPU
- Nvidia GPU
- Don't skimp on the RAM
- Remember everything your going to buy is going to obsolete relativly soon, Don't spend £500+ on a GPU expecting it to be future proof for years your better buying a mid-high GPU at a cheaper price and upgrading it semi regular
No defense, you cater to the competitive community you get online on MLG. You make legal red tape and outsource player retention to Virgin Gaming, you get an unhealthy contest that is honestly sickening and almost no player retention to show. Most definitely the players retained wasnt because of anything Virgin Gaming did...and where are these future tournaments by the way?
343's post support is a fallacy, they switch around settings, not even the right settings. Release some maps not even made by them, which were probably mostly finished before the game even released and release a super weak patch.
It sucks.
We deserve better.
Nah seems like it would be pointless people don't really care about the day to day banter of HaloGAF much outside of the actual banter itself and countless other sites post Halo content rapidly.
I'd be willing to co-star on HaloGAF News.
OS:Windows 7 Home Premium

Does everything seem fine to you guys?
I plan to upgrade the GPU to an AMD 7950 or a Nvidia 670, and maybe buy an SSD. Not sure yet.
Oh and I plan to upgrade to Windows 8.
What does this have to do with Halo?

Gears Judgment is pretty fun.
I don't know how you guys are watching CoD, SC2 and even LoL are much more entertaining. I guess it is cool to see some of the old Halo pros and personalities compete at MLG for nostalgia's sake. SC2 and LoL are much more entertaining as eSports games than CoD, and I don't even really understand either of them that well.
I've been watching a ton of StarCraft 2 today. It's been great. I do play and understand the game though.
