Just got an idea for some Regicide variants to be mixed with some further VIP/Juggernaut settings.
Kingpin
FFA Regicide. Killing the king makes you the king. Having the highest score, however, makes you the Lancer and this title operates independently of the king (but cannot be owned by the king). Surviving as a Lancer for 30 seconds gives you Speed Boost but you have to actually live for a full-fledged 30, you can't just have the title. Both the King and the Lancer see Ordnance getting ready to drop 5 seconds before anyone else does. If the King has the highest score, the person in second becomes the Lancer. You also get an Overthrow medal for killing the King as the Lancer, and a Rebellion Crusher medal for killing the Lancer as the King, equivalent to King Joust medals in points.
Ambassador
Team Regicide relying on point-based Kings. However, similar to Rally or Escort, you have to take your King to different Ordnance drops on the map (which can be specified), at which point the King can pick up said weapon for bonus points. That way the King can still be "rewarded" with power weapons while still being a significant target due to the waypoint.
Embassy
Essentially Team Regicide meets Three Plots. Players have to escort their kings to hills, which are promptly "locked down" after the King holds it for long enough. There are three hills: Red Hill, Blue Hill and Green Hill. Note that kills will still earn points. Bonus points are rewarded for killing a King trying to steal a hill, etc. You can either keep hills locked or unlocked in customs to be able to recreate Race. However, as a reward for helping your King capture an area, anyone in a hill that gets captured by their king is given a powerup respective to their hill (Green Hill gives you Overshield, and so on). The King likewise receives this bonus.
