Nah, not breaking any of those, closest would be communications, but I'm not going in depth and in detail about the game. ;P Wish I could though, would love the publicity and YouTube views. Don't let them get to you, Speedy. I've been playing the TitanFall alpha for a couple days and I have to agree, it's great. The XML-37 Quadratic is probably my favorite Titan so far. Dat four-legged reign of terror. As far as infantry arms go, the G4-46 Personal Defense Rifle, .48 cal is probably my favorite. It's basically the DMR, but fun to use.

Oh, and that new Capture the Flag mode where it's Neutral Flag in round one and Assault in round two? Unbelievably awesome. Dat Halo feel.

It is/was great. I started volunteering when I was around 14, but it quickly opened numerous doors for me. Lots of opportunities.

I wonder if it'd be possible to do a Forgecast where you get the people you want and just have them dick around in a Forge session for an hour or so.

Yeah, I started with the Teen Docent volunteer program, but quickly branched from there (while still staying involved with that program). My recommendation is find somewhere that you can volunteer asap.. the younger you start the easier it is to branch out.

Not sure if serious but there's essentially no point to frame rates higher than 120.

Probably. My monitor is 120hz and I can't tell the difference between 100 and 120fps, shit is just smooth as fuck at that point. Was just mentioning the maximum refresh rate I know monitors out can shoot into your eyes (not sure if the ones I've seen mentioned above 144hz are for real).

I have no idea what I'm doing. The Prime Rifle is an Assault Rifle equivalent - a bread and butter rifle anyone can get their hands on. Gameplay-wise it's a mix between the BR and Plasma Rifle. It's manufactured by what amounts to Promethean Aperture Science, hence the wonkiness. I think the fully black silhouette is what I'm going to use as a base, because one of the things I'm trying to push with the design is that it all (mostly) conforms to a singular rectangle. It's meant to be able to condense into a smaller, more portable form. Any suggestions?

Looks more like a Railgun/Shotgun mix. Edit: It also kind of gives me a Gears of War vibe, for some reason. You're going for a ProMo look, right? Might want to try and make it look more "foreunner" if you redesign later. I like it, though. The silhouettes look really neat.

Yeah, the Prime Rifle is the other Aether weapon. The Opus' make is a very recent renovation; the Prime Rifle is a nonlethal weapon that's been around for centuries. So, same manufacturer, but the Prime Rifle's going to look a little less refined, more stripped down.

I get what you're saying, but Aether tech tries to be a little more "grounded" than Forerunner stuff. The easiest way to explain Aether-elemental design philosophy is "What if Steve Jobs ran Aperture Science, and then tried to reverse-engineer Promethean tech using nothing but car parts?" Take the Opus magnum pistol, for example:

Kudos to Prinz Eugn for the awesome rendition. I'm really going to try and get away from that Railgun look, because the two-pronged rifle does look way too "specialist" for a starting rifle. Chances are making sure the barrel stays a singular boxy shape will do the trick.

The current method has been me conceptualizing a simple blueprint; he more fully realizes it and throws in realistic components like safeties, panels, etc; I provide him with minor tweaks and color / texture guides; he develops a finished product like the Opus example; I finally reverse-engineer that in Illustrator for HUD blueprint purposes. Take the awful original Opus blueprint compared to my variation of his fully-realized concept, for example:

He does awesome work, and despite my eccentricity on here I do take business seriously and I've happily been in talks to commission some stuff. That being said, he's not obligated to do a thing, and I'm not going to be a dick and make it seem like he's now immediately associated with Gravity Gauntlet Industries or anything of the sort. 3D stuff will come in time when I find someone reliable who's looking to be commissioned.
