This is known but to be fair I did say it's 70-95% on the money and given the resources/engine they had to shoe horn it into I think they did a pretty decent job. I understand the pistol was a ways off.
That new Destiny thread is garbage. We need to start a stealth HaloGAF Destiny thread and name it something totally unappealing so no one else will enter it. Maybe "Halo 4 OT" or something.
I'm not sure that the skill matching ever worked in the first place I've experienced very few balanced matches.
Unless my ranking is really low getting a positive kill death ratio isn't a issue but my win loss ratio is awful with the people you have to backpack, most just seem really unlucky based on theatre footage.
Yes, agreed. I think they've mentioned making a Murder Miners 2 before on twitter, but that was a while ago. Funny how they made Murder Miners as a way to fund their Unstoppable game. I don't even know if they are still working on it or not.
Oh yeah, but I tried to find out more, seems like it's a special ability for the titan. It's basically like a personal bubble shield. I knew it wouldn't be Halo, would be more cooperative than a competitive game, but damn if I'm not disappointed that they'd put something like this in, when they saw how it worked in Halo 3/Reach.

Really hope they're more receptive to the community than 343 was pre-launch. I know they said there's no way to just jump into multiplayer, but I really hope that changes.

And that's fine, I'll start my own economy! With blackjack, and hookers!
truerTempestan will be a paradise planet; Planet Starbucks, to borrow a page from Fight Club. If you wanna come over, feel free, dude. We're a chill people. Most of our exports are coffee beans. Ambassadors are cool, too, we've got nothing to hide; all our spacefaring resources are dedicated towards a planetary defense and / or immolation grid to ward off bad vibes. It's like Sicily where domesticated cats sorta just run wild, too. It's Seattle weather most of the time thanks to some polar interpolation tech, so bring jackets. Our planetary flag is a shitty christmas sweater.
Oh, you fuck with us on foot and you deal with the Acetic Honor Guard, though.
With enough prep time and resources, Planet Wahrer would be one fucked up addition to any universe.
Cool. I'll, umm, invade your planet with intersectional anti-oppression politics. Wait, the White Knight Guild Handbook says we're not allowed to invade.
Edit : And on a totally different note, I really wish the Forerunners would have remained an ancient mystery. Maybe I could grow to like them, but with the direction Halo 4 took, I'm not so sure.
Your elite squads of Activism Dominatrixstas are known for striking fear in the hearts of cismasc hetero white males 18-35 everywhere. Together, our combined military forms the Social Justice Wahreriors.
re: Forerunners, I had actually kind of hoped they would keep all of them concealed completely in suits of armor sort of like the Chozo suits in Metroid. That way you could keep them relatably human but still make you wonder what the hell's going on underneath - not to mention the Didact would have another parallel with Chief in the form of never taking off his suit.

Destiny is not going to be the game we're looking for.
It seems that developers are tired of straight-forward arena shooters. We're probably see the genre come back in style in a few years when Halo 2 and 3 are as old as Atari games or some ridiculous shit like that.
Sorta Halo 4's issue. Not the shooter part but the awesome concept art and halo's open world was strictly limited to the linear gameplay which is old news but seeing No Man's Sky I hope 343 changes all of this for Halo 5 and introduces an open world feel to it that has a similar feel to what the original trilogy and Reach had.

I think some indie developers will bring it back. A smaller team, just release a straight multiplayer arena shooter experience. If I was loaded, I'd hire those Eastern European/Ukrainian devs who do great work for cheap, give them a copy of Halo CE and Halo 2, and tell them to make a next gen game, that takes the best of both these titles. Maps, weapon types, movement, etc.

A non-shooter Halo title (no spartan ops / wahrers) would be neat. I've said it before, but I really want a Journey-styled "art student shitstorm visual experience hipsteravaganza" where you have an atmospheric ride through the events of the Forerunner trilogy, or at least something during the events of the Forerunner-Flood War. I feel like the ancient space politics and in-story journeying with vivid descriptions could be whittled down to a game pretty easily while still allowing for the galactic conflict to underscore the whole thing sort of like how the war machines are this dormant, underlying presence in Journey.
Likewise, a more "passive" Halo title that's a FPS, but has just as much world building, exploration and easy riding / puzzle-esque gameplay in addition to thickly-woven, frenetic combat would be great. Something like Metroid Prime, really.

Sorry bro, got too busy so couldn't make it. I was playing on the side of the stream when Jay was interviewing Dan during the first two Race games but then I had to bail.
