I'd be happy with upping to the 78 of Reach and H4. (H2 on Xbox is 60 I believe)
I linked this on the last page, but here you go.

Outside of split-screen, Halo 2 and Reach (and Halo 4) have about the same FoV.

If you're counting split-screen Reach and 4 have exactly the same FoV configurations, and Halo 2 is poop.

Add degrees to the viewing angle
360-degree equirectangular projection.

Believe.

Alternately, we could have negative FoV. That's always "fun", if the game doesn't crash.

Well most of us played H2 on full-screen TVs for a bit, hence the 62 number. I didn't know it was 78 on widescreen, always felt like they just stretched the image to me (they at least did that with the aiming reticle as you can see from your link).

Hehe, HUDs are a dangerous thing to base other judgement on.

A lot of people think Halo 4's split-screen FoV is low because they didn't scale the reticles down like they should have. The FoV is actually the same as Reach's, a healthy ~100 degrees.

Ha yeah the reticles are massive on split screen in Halo 4.

UPDATE:

VIP updated to 1.2

Added Classic and Countdown options to VIP Escort.
While Classic brings back the classic escort mode from Halo 3 Countdown brings a more frenetic approach to it.

If Countdown is enabled each VIP will have a personal timer which can only be reset if a destination is reached, if the timer hits zero the VIP will explode. The explosion will only lower the shields of surrounded players.

Added Countdown Timer to the UDOs, if Countdown is enabled you can control each VIP's personal timer. Default is 40 seconds.

Fixed a bug which gave the VIP killer's team one point instead of the points you selected.

Fixed a bug which had the Execution announcer sound playing twice when the blue vip assassinated the red one.

Made it so that a respawning/dead player will never be made the VIP.

Code optimized, again.

Download VIP 1.2

For more info about the gametype check this link

Does anyone want to play Halo (any on the 360). I'll livestream for a bit if that is wanted as well.

I'm totally bored, and I don't want to go online alone.

Yes, I would hope the FOV would be addressed, but I'd hope a lot of this goes without saying.
I've been thinking about ntkrnl said about H2A having an alternate ending... what could be anther ending for halo 2?
Fight upon the Dreadnought and escape / fall to earth.
Basically the Uprising comic.

Sounds a bit like playing with fire, but they could surprise us.

Not that problem but I always get reset loadouts and armour.

I got it working and yes, that happened to me too.

The Reach beta was terrible. The initial impression shock of not feeling like Halo. The terrible jump height, terrible maps.

Remember the laundry list juices came up with with issues to fix and they didn't touch any of them?

The Reach beta wasn't a beta. It was a demo. A shit demo.

Hey atleast they got Invasion's colors right.

The ark uses a small moon which is strip mined for it's resources to construct Halo rings you can see that in the middle of the void. Behind the void is the Foundry, where the Halo rings are constructed.

This is the answer I was looking for. Thanks! Very nice art; I like the art work Bungie does, even if I didn't really like the art in 2 and 3.

Didn't Frankie say H2A was not in development?

iirc famousmortimer feels that 343 essentially restarted Halo 5 development and moved up Halo 2 Anniversary to 2014. Probably false but still somewhat plausible.

if i've learned anything from the internet around console wars time, it's that pete dodd creates articles for click bait with little to no substance behind them. he's an absolute moron.

Nah he lied before about things. They aren't going to confirm something even if its real. That's how it works.

like I said, all they do is lie. either way they lie. halo 5 coming 2014 - lie. No H2 - lie. Misdirection like I keep saying. only way no lie is If halo 5 or next gen halo comes out 2014.

I don't think he necessarily lied.

Think about it, if they started work the day after he said that (He said " aren't currently," not "won't be"), they would have a year and a half.

That is ample time to finish a remake of a game. I think he very well have been saying the truth (if only the perfectly technical truth).

And AvalonX, maybe a bit much? I mean, you're kind of ranting at the point where this last post got innaccurate. They said "Halo" was returning this year, and it is. Yes, you might argue how technically it may have been misleading, but it was not an outright lie. And as i said "No H2 - lie" is not necessarily true. Since we don't know, maybe reserve your judgement for at least when we do know something?

Naw, I really think they went to far, like they assumed their audience was 6 years old and not really paying attention. "I think you of all people...," "sending in recon would just slow us down," etc. line delivery and animation is like getting hit on the head with a hammer ("Meaner Dammit! We need meaner!!!).

They could have served the story the same way while not making him so over-the-top that it stretches credulity to believe he was put in charge of the most important spacecraft in the UNSC.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Halo 4 is really the first Halo that manages to sell characterization and story with its faces and body language. I can see where you think the script might be a bit too on the nose, but everything I needed to sympathize and understand Del Rio I got right here:

The hesitancy, the throat-clearing as he makes his briefing, just sells that he's trying to be a solid leader but is just out of his depth.

I agree with both of you, actually, partially because I don't know that you two are arguing about the same thing. Eugn is arguing about the script and how the character himself is done, and he's saying it's a bit "on the nose" as you put it. You're arguing about the faces and body language, which are fantastic, but those are rather surface elements, wouldn't' you say? The actual surface portrayal is good, but if surface was all their was, then like Crysis 3, for example, would be GOTY.

This an example of how they tried to be subtle, but buried it under 600 tons of the exact opposite... like a few seconds will somehow balance everything out. That shot works sort of, but it would work better if he were like 60% less of a little bitch with everything else he says. At best as presented he has like middle schooler-level emotional intelligence ("I am nervous and Master Chief makes me seem weak... better BE LOUD AND TALK DOWN TO HIM"), and yet is a decorated war hero in charge of the most powerful ship humanity has.

Additionally, the "aging Spartan" and "been out of the field for a while" stuff makes no sense since presumably a UNSC Captain would be somewhat familiar with the concept of cryosleep. To me it almost seems like they wrote the script with no ear to how the dialog would sound actually delivered, since the words themselves aren't bad, but somehow doubled-down on the asshole angle when it came to whatshisface actually recording them, if that makes sense.
