Oh man, the mission in the jungle in KZ3 looks so good. Really makes me wonder what Guerilla can do next gen with an even more powerful Playstation. Killzone 3 at 1080p and 60fps alone would be eye sex.
Aye. Every legal document I've ever signed has been terrifying. And while some had unpleasant terms, they weren't offering me tens of millions to fund my business for many years before the had the shot at revenue in return. I'm decent at business and contract speak (it's my living), but even I'm nowhere near qualified to judge the relative merits of the trade offs and terms involved. Reading your average forum goer's knee-jerk about it has been amusing.
I have to say, reading through the contract the other day felt a bit like finding my neighbor's cache of financial documents along with their will. Fascinating, but frankly none of my business. It was an odd feeling.

Yeah, all it really comes down to is Activision needs to cover themselves because they are making a truly massive investment. I doubt a publisher has ever made this large of a financial and lengthy commitment to an independent developer. Bungie will probably make a great series of games, and in turn they and Activision will make an incredible amount of money.

Speaking of... I'm through S2 episode 5 now. Did 7 air last Sunday or was it 8? 7 is the last episode available On Demand as of today. Will probably watch 6 tonight.

Something tells me Bungie has more control over Destiny than what they did with Halo, or at the very least own the IP. I imagine that was part of the issue, they wanted to be in total creative charge of something, the contract reads fairly harsh, but it likely common when it comes to legalities with big budgets like this.
I feel bad for Bungie having everything out in the open like this, but I will say... it has me incredibly more hyped for the eventual reveal.

Haha, I wonder how many eggs havent been discovered in Halo 3 and Reach yet. Anyways, this is probably a legal thing.. this way nothing like the 'hot coffee' issue will come up, although I know that was not an easter egg.. Basically its there so nothing inappropriate is discovered that will cause a huge shit storm down the line.

Would everyone adhere to one single HaloGAF clan? Having an option of one centralized "faction" and then lower castes of groups, etc. would be cool and useful for the people that have multiple groups that they might be a part of.

Lol, some random in BTB was talking about hacking "this site called 4chan" and how he needed "about 20 hackers and 5 of them had to be the best around" and that he "would be known throughout the internet" because "those 4chan folks are dangerous."
I was minding my own business trying to play the game, but I ended up betraying him on accident. (BTB on Asphalt with the Wraith boost, figures :-/)
This guy would just not let up with personal messages saying he would "take my account and empty it out." And I mean constant, this guy was determined.
2 minutes later and some quick Google searches, "Hey Richard ______, how's the weather in Chicago?" That's it, just a name and a city.
The guy freaked out. Haven't heard from him since, except for some random string of numbers he sent me. ¯\_(ツ_/¯

Got about three hours in tonight. I am sure it is the same build as Wu and those HBO guys played. It goes until the 25th so I will get some more time with it. I don't really know yet what the rules are for posting opinions.

I think Dani said Sunday, but all sane man (at least the ones in the US) will be watching Game of Thrones and Mad Men on Sunday and may or may not have to drink significant alcoholic beverages in order to deal with the intensity and depressive nature of those programs.
