Short version, and because text on my GIFs bothers me. Plus, I needed to figure out how to do GIFs in CS6. Yo Adobe, what's up with removing features in a 64 bit version?
Edit: There's that multiplayer guy from the initial campaign/multi reveal BTS grinning like a cheshire cat off the to the right. Kind of unsettling.

i can't think of a downside to having some sort of system like Halo 2's. Obviously we aren't getting 1-50 back but something else. Just split it up, competitive and social. Sure people are going to boost, cheat, sell accounts...but people do that with Reach's system.
i remember having alot more fun with halo 2/3's system than i ever did for reach, in 2/3 its exciting and challenging to increase your level, in reach, you just meh. :/ Even something like Halo 3 would be fun, in reach Rank =/= Skill.

I don't really see the point of a ranked BTB, as the space could be used for more focused objective game modes. That and the fact that I never saw too much coordination in Halo 3 BTB other than getting on laser tank or hog.

A mercenaries playlist should never exist, the developer should just use the matchmaking filters that are already in Halo 3 and Reach's matchmaking systems.
Something like that will be in the game lol.

I'd really like to see the Arena ranking system more robustly integrated with all/ranked playlists in the future, one arena playlist shoved in a corner is likely the reason for its dismal popularity.

One question on unlocks - do you "spend" some kind of virtual currency or credits on items, or do certain items just automatically unlock after you reach a level or threshold? I'm just weirdly curious how close to a free to play model some of these systems will be.
