AC2 is pretty great and I'm sure you can find it for cheap at this point.
You could probably pass on the first because of the repetition... and I guess you could just look up the story on Wikipedia.

I speculated on the shield not taking damage last page. We just need someone there to take 10 seconds and test if that's true. I can't wait to see all the exploits for the AA's once the game rolls out. There was that one in Reach with armor lock that forces your teammate through walls that wasn't found for like a year.

I'd say rent them, and just play through. There's not much benefit to owning the games after you finish the story.
AC2/Brotherhood/Revelations are some of my favorite games this gen. Love 'em.

play the first one until you get bored, then look up the story on wikipedia (if you finish it all the better). Play all the other ones.
Personally I have a special place in my heart for AC1 just because the cities are so much fun to just run across. Some later ones have more limited roof-running options

and maybe Forza Horizon and/or NFS

Is Revelations good? I hear a lot of mixed impression. I enjoyed AC2 and Brotherhoods a lot.
About games I am going to get this year? At the moment only three:
Halo 4 LE, Assassins Creed 3 and Borderlands 2. Dishonored is on my "buy later" list.

I think AC 2 and Brotherhood are great, especially after the awful first game, but I was really disappointed by Revelations.
And the only games I plan to buy at release this fall are Pokemon and Halo. I will wait for bomba deals on everything else.

Did you not find them repetitive? I thought they were fun but after buying 3 and never finishing one I got a little burnt out.
As far as upcoming games that I'm buying there are few. The next 7 months as far as music goes is unparalleled with any span of that time I've ever seen.

true, but that's not really what I meant. There are a lot of places where you just can't get to the next part by roof, or the roofs are made out of weird broken brick that makes it really annoying to climb

Night was going fantastic, excited for halo stuff in a half hr on G4 and throughout the night.
Get a phone call from my brother who is 4 years my junior (same birthday 4 years apart, so he's 17), is supposed to be at work...
He flipped his jeep on it's roof with a girl his age in the car, thank freakin' god they're okay, he fucked up his finger but that's about it. The part that gets me is i'm a super cautious driver, havent gotten an accident or ticket in the 5.5 years i've been driving and I try to preach to him to be that way but nope he's gotta be a hotshot.
It put things in perspective, i'll still enjoy tonight with you guys no doubt, just needed to rant somewhere.

I think I'm one of the few people who loved Prometheus because I accepted it wasn't a direct prequel to Aliens (I'm sure others have many other reasons than just that for hating it lol).. Sure the movie had tons of questions left unanswered, but so did the first two Alien movies yet they're classics. Personally, I thought Prometheus was a good sci-fi that got mad hate because of its link to the Alien universe.. people were expecting the world when Ridley Scott said otherwise before the movie released.
Lurking in that Prometheus OT was frikkin exciting!

I don't really know what you're talking about here, but in general gaf isn't offensive. There's no real flaming, no death threats, no stuff like that which is largely present on forums. Relatively we're pretty nice.
