Does zooming and/or crouching artificially affect accuracy and/or damage in any way?

Because the CE pistol was any different? Reach is the first halo game where you're screwed if you take on multiple people without a power weapon. Learn your halo kid.Proven said:One thing that I want to give props to Bungie for that I've only heard complaints against, clip size. Especially the pistol. I see everyone asking for more shots, but it makes me wonder whatever happened to reloading being a balancing factor for a weapon. It's worst that in previous games, most weapons except for power weapons only had enough clip size for a single kill, but then the Battle Rifle and Carbine were exempt from this rule. Now it's been changed so that all regular weapons have enough clip to kill one person and maybe damage a second before reloading. You have a sidearm for a reason.

When I first heard that Sage was adding reticule bloom, I was concerned that it was going to be Shadowrun-style: larger bloom for movement, less for stationary, and smallest for crouching. He clearly carried that idea over from his work on that game. I don't like that because it incentives stationary firing and clogs up the free-flowing gameplay that Halo has always been about. So I was delighted that Reach didn't go that route. But I'd still rather no element of it be included, whether crouching or walking.

i AGREE 100%. I always chalk this up to Bungies ego. "We worked hard on that so you have to play it". But if I don't want to play it what are my choices Bungie? Go some where else, maybe? I did that with Halo 3 and and traded it in 3 months after purchase and I'll do it again if Reach starts to grate the nerves. So far I'm just chalking it up to it being a beta and will wait on final judgement.
Mostly because some of us come from PC gaming where we have the ability to choose what map/mode we want to play and play with other like minded individuals.
I can't give a shit about "trueskill" or rank. I don't play ranked games, if I have the choice anyway. If people are raping me/team-auto-unbalanced, I'll find another server. No problem for me. *shrug*

And I laugh at how some people not only believe custom games are fine the way they are, but now it's easy to get one going :lol. Right. It's actually the opposite for the 99% rest of the people who aren't on HBO, Bnet, or GAF, refreshing threads and adding people all the time.
Custom games are ancient news if you look at how much Bungie cares about them nowadays (minus the tuning options).

You didn't tell me why matchmaking sucks :lol I get that you want a server browser, I'd probably prefer that to, but since it's not changing, you can't complain about itTheSeks said:Sai, babe. I've been over this over and over and over on GAF. I'm the type of person that doesn't need my hand held to find games. If I want to play a particular map with a particular mode, I should be free to be able to. If I want to play Team Swat on DE_Sidewinder 24/7 game server/console servers, that should be my choice.
As it is: Halo Reach's MM is by far the best implementation of the service for Halo BY FAR. No longer am I forced in a game mode (++ Bungie for doing this) I don't want (well with the exception of Slayer, PLZ 2 B PUTTING THAT SHIT IN IT'S OWN PLAYLIST, BUNGIE). Now it's only maps that I'm being forced into (a step back from Halo 3's vetoing a map system, but I guess that would take too long with Reach veto/voting for a gametype as well), but that isn't too bad as I have no opinion on the Reach maps yet.
And yes, the Armor Lock is useless. It's useless in Deathmatch/Slayer and Team Slayer esp. You can pop-it up, but anyone that is smart is going to wait for you pop-out, throw a grenade as you're doing that and kill you (which has been 90% of my deaths/kills to Armor Lock). May be better for vehicles (as it's supposed to be able to destroy an oncoming vehicle?), but so far in terms of infantry it's pretty "yeah, no, I'll stick with active camo, crouch and then melee dudes."
I have to agree with this camp. I want the battle rifle and it's fast fire rate back. How am I supposed to play SWAT with this weapon, Bungie?:lol
Getting rid of shit like THIS will go alot further.Falagard said:Yes, that's exactly it. It's Bungie's ego, and not the fact that they want to match up similarly skilled opponents in order to expand the online multiplayer audience.
