I think it's practically a given the active roster will be more robust in the final release.Cuban Legend said:

-PXG- said:1 Flag CTF on Sword Base is brutal. Air lifts are blocked/ shut off. In other words, you gotta haul the damn flag by foot all the way to the top. Ugh.

Spirit of Jazz said:What? I just won a 1 flag ctf in 20 seconds or so by jumping up the mancannon, throwing the flag up the top floor and then jet-packing back up there to place it in our base.
BattleMonkey said:The motion blur effect in this game is really weird for some reason.
-PXG- said:It was off for me. Both lifts were off. The Covenant lift in the middle was still there. The lift on the bottom floor (red hallway) was blocked off by a fence. The lift on the second floor on the blue side was off.
watership said:The weird ghosting has been fixed already. Urk said it just didn't make the beta.
Gui_PT said:He means the mancannon in the water in the middle of the level. Get the flag, jump there, drop the flag on the top level. Jetpack yourself there and cap the flag.
Like he said, it's a 20 second round if done well
Dearthenon said:I should always appear to be on blue team. That way I always know to shoot red team. (And, of course, on their box, they think they are blue team and my team is red team). My flag should _always_ be blue. Etc. Otherwise we might get confused switching gametypes... like now.

Iknos said:Nades are a little too powerful. Liking how the damage has been increased but they are too powerful in the sense that when they are 5 feet from you they should take out all your shields and most of your health but not outright kill you so you still have a change to fight but crippled so you have to get health.
Pyke Presco said:Played this for a couple hours yesterday and like 5 rounds today, and all I can say is holy shit, I love the pacing. I havent used the cloaking guy or the armor lock yet, and the jumppack only got used in the first game I played, plus a couple spawns here and there. My gameplay style is all about the sprinting and beating people down. Melee seems ridiculously overpowered to me, especially coupled with the sprinting, but maybe I've just been playing bad players or somethign (I would consider myself "okay" at H3). I can typically go at least +5 in a round of slayer, with somewhere between 14-17 kills and an overwhelming amount are melee (as in, between 8 and 12 kills). Played a round of Slayer Pro on Powerhouse in Arena and went 21-12 with 13 or 14 melees, which seems over the top powerful to me when everyone has a long range weapon. The quick double beat down and the sprint ability make this a much more enjoyable experience for me, I always hated how slow Halo played and this is a nod to CoD nuts like myself. Im just worried this is gonna end up like the H3 beta for em, where I love the shit out of the beat and then the final product just feels like "been there, done that".
Current stats:
Arena, 4 times as many melees as next best weapon, which is frags, (32 to 9, DMR is 3rd at 7) 1.49 K/D
Standard: 2 times as many melees as next best, which is a tie between AR and frags (89 to 43 to 43), 1.02 K/D (with 15 flag beatdowns, my 5th best weapon)
There is clearly a disproportionate amount of melee in those numbers, and that would never have happened in any of the other halo games. I'm loving this fast paced mayhem!

It's Halo's answer to the Marathon/Lightweight/Commando build!Cerrius said:I'm sure you're not the only one. I've seen countless players with "melee" as their weapon of choice in the postgame lobby way too many times for my liking.
The melee system is broken. It's cheap and unsatisfying.

Not a Jellyfish said:This. Sprinting and using melee is awfully broken, not too mention very annoying. :lol
EazyB said:If this was any other game's beta then Halo's the frustration would have made me delete it off my HDD a long time ago. 24+ hrs in and I'm trying so hard to like it but it's trying even harder to make me dislike it.
ZayneH said:How the fuck is Regular AR slayer even in Arena?! I don't care about the Pistol being in there, I don't want to get random deaths from people using the AR in Arena.
Yes, I mad/rage. Goddammit.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way

dslgunstar said:I cant decide which mode I hate more: Covie Slayer or Slayer Pro.
No wait, I decided, it's Slayer Pro.
Ironically, this is the first Halo where I actually enjoy traditional Slayer as much as the objective modes.
ZayneH said:How the fuck is Regular AR slayer even in Arena?!
Church RvB said:Yes, yes, and yes. Slayer Pro pisses me off.
I like radar
I like AR/Pistol starts (Love the DMR and Nerfle too, just not as starts.
I like variations in AAs (I only use sprint, but i like fighting people with other AAs. Its fun for some reason.)
The only good thing about Slayer Pro is the one start grenades.
(no on the covie slayer thing though.)
dslgunstar said:There's nothing random about them. They are aiming at you with the AR, and dealing damage, eventually resulting in your death. That is the same thing that pistol users are doing...maybe the AR users are just being more opportunistic?

A guy who's not firing at you doesn't seem like the biggest threat.
