Point is, SC2 has been popular for one season for mlg whilst Halo has sustained and defined them for years. They would be foolish to drop it after one poor season.
That makes you sound like an upset child.Yea and Starcraft is a PC title; mlg has always been primarily catered toward the console market. There have been loads of shitty leagues for PC games, fuck mlg if they move in that direction wholly.
I'm not saying they'll drop Halo, but thanks to their capitalisation on the market GOM has built, SC2 is where the money and hype is.Point is, SC2 has been popular for one season for mlg whilst Halo has sustained and defined them for years. They would be foolish to drop it after one poor season.
What was the problem with it? Thought people were happy with dedi servers, better netcode, etc?I really like it when devs get bit like this.

Humblebrag? But that's unpossible.under the 'humblebrag' section
Sawn off Shotgun? Ah, yes, I do remember hearing the rumblings.A ton of people hated the SOS, from the beta to retail, and Epic were too stubborn to add a playlist without it until it was too late. Their whole DLC debacle was pretty funny too.
This is pretty fascinating as someone who doesn't follow any of these guys or the pro scene at all.
I was just wondering about this. Its supposed to have the December playlist update details, right?Bulletin?
Playing with Hydra, Zalin, Xand, and Gui right now if anyone wants in Anv BTB.
Bulletin?
Haven't that had that much fun in quite a while.
Sorry for not talking much, but you know, it's 2 am over here.

Get online and figure out how to work the spawns on Timberland like you did on condemned.
I agree. I like the one guy arguing for Halo. He seems to be hitting a lot on the head. The guy with the hat on really comes off as a whiny bitch. No offense to any MLG fans or players I do have to say this discussion just reminds me of why I don't care for MLG or competitive gaming in general.
I'm trying
That guy is Ghandi if im right, pretty big shit at h2 - h3. Commentates now i think

Seems that their biggest problem is the pros of of the Halo division. Seems that they all agree that these guys just don't give a shit about anything but themselves. That is not a good thing and probably one big reason they're hurting. Also seems that the MLG higher ups seem to have turned their backs on them too. That is never good for a division.
Honestly, at the point in the debate that I'm at, they don't disagree on much besides the fundamental point - whether or not investing a lot of work into saving Reach is worth it at this point. They agree that the faces of the organization, the pros, aren't doing anything for the good of the community. I mean, it might seem like a bitter position he's taking, but look at where they're at. They were part of this huge organization at the height of the series' popularity, and they're watching their community and their livelihood crumble around them. That's not easy, and you see that sentiment pop up even here pretty often, and we aren't even as deep in as they are. It's been pretty reasonable on all sides so far. I don't want to see Reach disappear from the pro circuit because it's still fun to watch when a big event pops up, but it's not nearly the draw that it used to be, and that's gotta be tough to watch from the inside.I agree. I watched that non-stop when it came out. So good.
Although, all the choreographed gameplay looks kinda silly after the wow factor is gone. People don't just charge at each other in big lines like that.
Correction: Halo 2 and 3 has sustained and defined MLG for years. Not Reach though.

The shirt actually has Per Audacia Ad Astra on in inseam at the bottom.
And one of tired me with a stupid smirk on my face.

Bungie employees. They probably do lol.
Although Reach is to blame, I feel that MLG's settings management for Reach has been poor. Sprint when the pros and the community didn't want it. Only slayer and flag for a while until they finally added Assault and King. They also faced lots of criticism for their selection process and have still refused to use a Sanctuary with the proper sightlines.
They are figuring it out now though. 120 and no sprint, CEA maps in the future.

Hoping for word on Evade's continued existence and possible Anniversary setting tweaks in next month's update. Or sooner. That'd be cool too. Oh, and that pistol stuff. Also, Arena should be using TU minus bleedthrough. Additional Objective tweak: get the 3 Flag/Flag Slayer/Hot Potato trifecta of garbage out of there so I can return.Matchmaking Playlist – We’re updatin’ it.
Since community-submitted maps are sometimes mixed in with developer-created maps, occasionally the options on the voting screen are so foreign that you feel like you’ve taken a wrong turn at Albuquerque. We’ve addressed that, along with several other things, in December’s matchmaking playlist update. Read on for the nitty-gritty.
• Team Objective, Squad Slayer and Multi Team updated to TU settings.
TU game types are our standard Reach Matchmaking settings with the Title Update changes. Those changes are: damage bleed enabled, modified reticle bloom, sword block removed, Armor Lock modified, and Active Camo modified.
• TU Beta updated to be ZB Slayer.
The Beta category is a place where we can develop and experiment with new playlists, game types, options, and settings. So you can expect this category to stick around and be updated regularly with different experiences.
• Zero Bloom secondary weapon updated to be an Assault Rifle rather than a Pistol.
• Premium Battle removed.
We’ve adjusted the Matchmaking algorithm to match players who have DLC with other players who have DLC more often than in the past. We’ve also upped the weighting for DLC in our playlists so that you’ll see the DLC in your voting options more frequently. Also, remember that all of the Anniversary maps have been added to the majority of the playlists. The combination of these things means that you’re going to be able to enjoy your premium DLC in Matchmaking much more often than ever before.
If you would like to continue playing the game types and maps featured in this particular playlist after December’s Matchmaking update goes live, here’s a handy-dandy cheat sheet to get you started on replicating that experience.
Slayer – Visit Team Slayer, Squad Slayer, and Big Team Battle, where DLC has been weighted to show up frequently.
Objective – Visit Team Objective and Big Team Battle, where DLC has been weighted to show up frequently.
Invasion – Visit the Invasion playlist, where Invasion Breakpoint has been set to show up frequently in slot one.
• BTB voting options updated so that a developer-created map will always show up in slot one. We also rearranged and reweighted voting options (including new DLC).
• Team Slayer voting options updated so that a developer-created map will always show up in slot one. We also rearranged and reweighted voting options (including new DLC).
• Pistol tweaked to return to pre-TU behavior in TU game types.
There was a slight variance between the damage output of the DRM and the Pistol. To bring them closer, we tweaked the Pistol to do slightly less damage in the TU game types. Four shots to the body and one to the head will kill the player now, as will seven to the body. The one small difference is that where four body shots would pop your shields previously, it will not now. That’s okay, though, as shield pop means significantly less in TU game types because damage bleed is active. In other words, a fifth headshot will still result in a kill.
Amazing, I have even less reason to play Objective now!
WHAT?!
That fuckin skully is amazing. So is the shirt! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
I definitely agree. It's unfortunate that its so far been tied to all the improvements that the TU brought. I don't want to let go of the TU's good things while supporting the tossing away of Reach's excellent feedback systems. I'm okay with it for melee, but the shield pop warning so you know you're one shot was one of Reach's great successes. Can they just let go of bleedthrough already?
