I'm hoping for at least a few clarifications for a couple of mysteries, especially the, "all maps from singleplayer," thing. Maybe an explanation of the build that this was taken from etc.

WOW. The game seems to be running so smooth. Something about Halo 3 always looked like it was choking and not optimized enough, just chugging along a bit choppy. Reach seems to be running with ease with a slight motion blur that's not over done really nice effect. The particles and lighting are top notch. Can't wait!

This. I've talked about it before. Halo 1 and 2 had a smoothness to them (when they were at 30fps of course) and while Halo 3 was 30fps, it felt choppier than other games.

They posted a concept piece and that's it after news sites getting us worked up over nothing, I'm hoping Urk will do some descriptions and clarify some stuff for us.

Anyway, that Vidoc just gave me the feeling of a completely new campaign tone in terms of pacing and timing. Looking forward to new fast pace dongin'

They mentioned in the Edge article that up to 20 vehicles can be on screen at once, in addition to dozens of other AI's. Would be a shame not to use'em all. :D

Yeah saw the concept piece when it hit yesterday. I was expecting something towards end of vidoc, would have been cool...could have done a real quick montage just a couple of seconds of play to build hype.

Urk I still can't download the quicktime 720p vidoc, it downloads like 5.7mb of a corrupted file, streaming stops at the same point.

That's what was happening to me. Clear your cache and change the file name before you download.

After re-watching the film (and cleaning up after myself), I've compiled a list of my favourite things that I saw/heard:

-Brute at 4:34 Looks brutal, man.
-Sound of the Needle Rifle whizzing past the player when he was fighting those two skirmishers
-Harcoreishness of the new shotgun
-Grenade launcher
-Cycling through all of those things on the armour
-Small amount of gameplay showing the assassinations
-Shower of Sparks onto the Wraith
-Dat one cutscene with like a bajillion vehicles
-What I'm assuming was the model for Jorge's face (IT HAD BEARD)
-The reticle doesn't expand, just the sub-reticle
-Sniper support from Jun
-Sprint is really fast
-Sexy environments
-dat lighting
-Elite's shield
-Not roughing up babies
-Sound dampening on the grenade impact
-HALO REACH AN OPENWORLD SANDBOX GAME

oh god it's so awesome.

The footage of it in the ViDoc was drool worthy. I think it and I will start a longtime friendship, starting with the beta.
