So i was thinking a lot about a video where i believe Lehto said that some fans will be angry about some continuity issues... makes me think the flood will be in the game. anyone else think there's a chance we'll see some flood showing up?

Yo Bungie, copy the Blur veto system for Reach.

PLEASE

I'm downloading that as we speak. I got a 48hr code with it, but I don't need it. And HalGAFfer want it?

Mind explaining it?

Two boxes pop up on the screen. Each box has a different map (track) and other variables (gametypes). You pull the left trigger if you want the option on the left and the right trigger for the right. No loading involved.

So its the same as Gears 2?

Sounds good. I thought of a different one I think might work better.

You get three options, and you get to vote against one of them.

Say you're in a party of 4, in a mm group of 12. Options are Boundless, Valhalla and Narrows. Most people will vote against Boundless, with maybe a couple of votes against Valhalla and Narrows. But say your party just played on Valhalla and you want something different. Your party can vote against Valhalla, and the map least-voted-against would be Narrows.

EDIT: bobs's point below goes along with what I'm saying. If it was a vote-for system out of two, you'd always play on Valhalla. Always.

Great news Ram ;)

4:30, so that's 9:30 GMT right? Just realised I will be coming off a Halo themed weekend pretty much. Friday night/Saturday morning being the Halo lockin. Halos CE/2 and 3 all night long baby. Mixed in with Zeouterlimit's copy of Halo Legends for the down time for some good measure. I will have all of Saturday and a lot of Sunday to recuperate. I will pm the one gametype that should be shot to vhfive in a bit. If it comes up, I will cry.

Are the B.U.N.G.L.E pro maps/gametypes still available? Me and Zeouterlimits were musing the idea of 2 hours per Halo, with an hour in between for general shenanigans. I may just borrow some of the NeoGaf maps that were posted the other day ;)

Ah yeah thats like Gears of Wars veto system.

The system has flaw's though, I played Gears fairly late, and some maps I never got to play simply because a favorite of peoples would show up. At least with Halo's vetoeing system after veto the second time round any map could show up. If you hate a map that the vast majority adores in Gears your screwed, same vice versa if your favorite map happens to be a map most people hate.

With Halo's system though were subjected to things we dont like more :lol

Coco P just invited me to play the Xbox 360 Dashboard.

I think I'll go cry in a corner for two months now, kthx. :(

I saw Voc on the dashboard for about 4 hours yesterday... now it all makes sense. :(

What a jerk. Someone did the same thing to be back in the Halo 3 Alpha (and later, Beta, before it opened up).

This too shall pass.

I was actually trying to invite Mr Vociferous to a party and hit Omlet instead.

Question:

Why are you not closed in a room playing Xbox 360 Dashboard?
My box sits on Xbox 360 dashboard for most of the workday, since I'm constantly switching betweeen Halo discs for various work related stuff and I have my box set to boot to Dash.

Confirmed, Xbox Dashboard = BEST GAME EVER!!!

So what happens if you accept a invite to play 'dashboard', it would be amazing if it gave you the option to download the alpha :lol

Well that makes sense. You actually leave it on from start to finish of your workday?

This must be tested!

Samething as when you accept an invite to a game you don't own: it asks you to install/insert the game to join the party. I tried during the Halo 3 test. :(

I feel like I'm jutting into a conversation here...

I did some math and found put many hours into splitscreen Halo 3 gaming with friends. Yet we haven't unlocked many armour pieces for our Spartans because to unlock most of them you have to play the single player campaign.

Can't really do that because we all meet up to play MP and that's it. So the guy who owns the Xbox has a lot of pieces unlocked but the rest of us have only one other helmet unlocked.

Any indication that this time around those unlockables will be based on multiplayer stuff like medals?

That makes sense to me because the more experienced multiplayer guys will look fancier during gameplay.

A sniper who got 1000 headshots would have the appropriate armour to show it off.

Doesn't this make more sense or am I the only one thinking that?

So who wants to bet their is a modern warfare like unlock system for weapons and equipment in the multiplayer game?
My guess would be cosmetic unlocks to the look of your armor.

The A button on Omlet's pad must be on a mission right now to find its way back out from inside the controller, such was the force applied to it when the Accept Invite option was on screen.

That reminds me... Someone in the house broke the jack of the mic nd now the top of it is lodged in my ODST edition controller. Help! I have seen it mentioned before about opening the battery pack and using something small to push it free, but there are some exposed circuits very near it and I want to know if there is a safer way to take it out... any ideas?

Good to hear little Ram is doing fine. It'll give Ram something to preoccupy his mind so he doesn't ever have to realize how old and bad at Halo he'll become.
