Has anyone confirmed hit boxes will be changing?

Will it really make a difference with auto aim?

It would be cool if they had challenges that required the entire community to get involved like "kill 50,000 campaign enemies today" and all those who contribute would get cR. It could be fun to see what crazy shit the community could do in an entire day.

Hey guys, I took a roadtrip with my parents and a couple friends to see my grandma in middle-of-nowhere Georgia, but we found a starbucks so I'm posting from there :lol

I reeaaaallly like the new Credits system. I love messing around with how my Spartan (Or elite ;D) looks, so being able to pick and choose between a ton of different armor before buying it sounds awesome. And Daily challenges remind me of WoW, but in a good way. :D I hope we get sweet looking armor like in WoW too. I want my tier 10 :lol :lol

Only 40 days til the beta :D So hyped!!! I really can't wait. I can't believe we're not even in April yet :lol Oh god. The wait is gonna be insane.

I loved the constant feeling of working up to something in CoD. It's definitely loosens up frustration to some degree, ie. gaining exp even with a match loss. Glad to see this in Halo now. And I hope Challenges means the death of actual mutliplayer Achievements.

Lttp: MY GOD THIS BUNGIE! cR system sounds so rad.

Your customized Spartan is even included in the cut-scenes.
"When the cut-scene comes up in campaign, we want you to see you," said Smith. "For instance, that trailer that we showed with the helmet and soldier picking it up, the Noble 6 trailer, that helmet is going to be your helmet. If you're pink and adorned with unicorns, that's how you're going to look. [...] With Reach, this is your story, this is your identity, this is your version of a story that we want you to be a part of."

HELL YES. I love how Noble Six actually feels like you, the player, and his appearance reflects that. So freaking awesome. :D

It May 3rd yet? ;(

Edit: Also, just wanted to say how awesome it is that there's fucking DAILIES in Reach. Very cool. <3 you Bungie. So much.

Will there be stupid censorship ('ass' in 'Neutral Assault' for example) again this time, or have you guys understood a mature audience (ESRB: M / PEGI: 16+ I'm guessing) doesn't care about such "obscenities" ?

Any answer on this?

Yes!!

I'm fed up with games that run their cutscenes in real time, like Halo 1-ODST, but have no customisation features. Sure you might see a dead enemy in a cutscene every now and then, because it's real time, but they've never really taken advantage of all that work to make it something unique for each player. Finally they are doing it, and I am happy.

I have a question, if you're supposed to have a unique Noble 6, wouldn't you have to actually play some MP or Campaign first to actually see your guy be any different? I know the campaign will be the first thing a lot of you play, maybe there's some free things to start off. *shrug*

Customization is very neat; hopefully there's either a TON of stuff to buy, or they have DLC armors in the pipeline. The challenges are super neat and unexpected, especially the fact that they're daily/weekly and not set in stone like say MW2.

I copy ManCannon/urk posts, but I redirect people to shacknews or wherever so those sites can get the hits.

Also, you're implying I'll get into F&F? I barely post here, and I never finished the ~7k article about ODST that was meant to be my ticket to ride.

I do plan on playing the shit out of the beta, though. I gave up videogames and grain alcohol (i.e. everything except wine) for Lent, and I've ended up missing videogames a lot more. I bet you play Bad Company 2, right? I have not played Bad Company 2.

Sorry was at work all day; no, I didn't mean I thought you'd get into F&F. I was referring to the regular beta, since as it stands now I will basically be barely able to touch it the entire time it's running starting around a day or two after it starts, so since there's no way I'm getting into F&F I'm living vicariously through you for the beta. I'd just woken up, so maybe my post didn't make sense. I've played some BC2 yes, but it doesn't do a whole lot for me for reasons I won't get into here.

Heh. I remember always trying to commit suicide in Halo1 right before a cutscene would begin. You'd see the Master Chief walking by his dead corpse. Always humorous :)

Customizability and aesthetics are one of my favorite things in a game. I like what Bungie did with armor perms in Halo 3, but it looks like it'll be much better in Reach.

The fact that this customization carries over to campaign is AMAZING.

I'm still wondering if Bungie or Microsoft are going to comment on the beta codes that the "loyal" Halo 2 players are going to be receiving. I think people would like to know exactly when they are getting their codes and if they can be used to download the beta early.

Bungie isn't actually coordinating or executing that program so we don't have any details we can share. I would assume that some official info will be coming at some point though. As for downloading the beta "early", my guess would be no. If I can dig up any more facts (that I'm permitted to share) I will!

Anyone else hoping Hayabusa quietly exits the stage? I mean, it's hell of an ugly piece of headwear. Despite the fact that I quite like the samurai shoulder pads that come with it, I'd rather never see that fugly ass helmet ever again.

I mean, it has a decorative and useless sword too. Urgh. :lol

I really hope cR can be used for greater purposes. Like.....

- New Forge items?
- Render minutes.
- Armour Colour patterns/designs.
- UI themes (similar to the Xbox Dashboard)
- New emblem designs

Soooo many places to go with this Bungie!

The problem I have with Hayabusa was that it looks so damn out of place. The EOD helmet is ugly as sin, but at least it looks like something that can be from Halo. The Hyabusa armor could have been designed a bit more subtly, while still evoking Ninja Gaiden somewhat . The shoulderpieces are pretty good, though, and it would be pretty neat if there is a similar shoulder design in Reach.

While I agree 100% Hayabusa was fucking stupid, seriously, I think it was too popular for them to remove.

I see more Hayabusa's than anything else.

Yes, that thing looks ridiculous. But the katana should stay (and cost a fortune of cR), and then be usable in assassination moves, no fancy gory decapitations or anything too unlike Halo, just a simple thrust attack from behind. Have the attacked character look down at the sword sticking out of his stomach for a couple of seconds and then die...

Hayabusa was just a fun collaboration back in the day with Itagaki-san and Tecmo.

The important thing is that we got sweet real commemorative ninja swords from them that are now on display in our lobby.

Too bad those folks are no longer together, who knows what could've happened with Kat... :D

I say keep it in and let us use that katana for the new melee feature :D

The question there is, who would have done the mocap or their changes to Kat...:D

This sucks. I was hoping for a Halo revival. I'm not sure we even played L4D2 together. Well, at least you'll be unsullied for the full release, where everything will seem as new!

No. You mean that your overly obnoxious balding forehead helmet is back ;)

Don't be hating on that helmet - shit was styling!

And all you Ninja Dogs stop hating on the Hayabusa as well - granted that I only wore it that very instant the last skull was found, and stopped the week after...

Being worked on.

I also must have missed the underway Onyx sequel, that is badass!
I don't think it's been talked about until I asked. If I'm not mistaken, that was the first confirmation that it was being worked on.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some teases recently. If not posted by OuterWorldVoice, then it might have been in a Waypoint interview with one of the writers (those interviews are really nice, by the way).

Edit: D'oh. Of course.

I take it you aren't aware that that helmet was in Halo 3, also?
I've never played it :p Only 1 and 2, and I'm considering buying a 360 just for this game.. (and 3 and a couple others, but mainly this)

Yeah, that's the Forerunner trilogy. I know about that. I'm talking about the next book that continues where GoO left off.
Edit - Wait, found the post.
And there's movement on the idea of an Onyx follow-up.
It's gone to an idea to being worked on, which is just as awesome to hear.:D

Read the post a little bit closer, man. :D
I don't see a mention of it anywhere in the opening post.
