I'm not serious, hate that shit in COD
Bungie has a knack for coming up with things that make you wonder why nobody else has done it before. The wait for Fall is getting tougher (a sip of Bungie Beer would really not help either, but at least the sip will be so good).LukeSmith said:The Daily flavor of Challenges absolutely need to avoid the specificity of say "Kill 2 Players at Once with the Spartan Laser in a Ranked playlist." An example of a Challenge we'd like to stay away from is "Earn a Sniper Spree in a game." I'm fully aware of the horrific consequences that would be introduced into the day's ecosystem by dangling a carrot in front of players to use a particular weapon to great success.
Instead of that, imagine something akin to "Earn Any Spree in Multiplayer Matchmaking today."

Of course it may not be final and they could include it but signs point to no. It's hard to tell from this breakdown and hopefully it'll be clarified with the BWU or the podcast but I'd like it if the point distribution really rewarded winning. In Halo 3 you'd only get rewarded for winning (or tying) and that was too harsh on the loser but really gave players incentive to doing whatever it took to win. If a Reach player can come out with more cR by ignoring the objective and focusing on challenges/commendations/kills than it'll hurt the game (hello BFBC2). Hopefully "Invasion Bonus" is referring to actually winning a round of invasion and "playlist awards" are completing objectives in that game.

Halo Reach needs its own version of Forza3 painting tools. I want full body spartan armor tatoos! I know Bungie didn't want to give people the opportunity to create obscene images, but I was curious how Forza manages to keep things on the down low.SpudBud said:
Oh yeah.
I second this request.

"Finally, Microsoft has announced that new Halo: Reach multiplayer info will be dropping every Friday between now and the launch of the multiplayer beta in May. The updates will appear on Bungie.net starting this Friday, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled (for jet packs)."
Every Friday will be a good Friday from now till the beta lol.

Please don't force Halo: Reach beta access from ODST disc menu after first download for people who aren't part of F&F. Put ODST disc check instead like installed games, and allow us to start it from game library. Accessing Halo 3 beta via Crackdown disc was annoying.
Thanks.
I hate that CQC helmet solely because it looks like it's got a huge metal tongue sticking out. If that bottom piece was removed, I'd love it.Voltron64 said:

I'm fairly certain that they won't change your hitboxes like they did in H3.Lunchbox said:if they hit my flash light i bet they still hit me....

Good deal.LukeSmith said:Commendations and Challenges are spikes on the Credit earn graph. The slope of that line is defined principally by playing games and winning games.

The reward arc in Reach will be balanced taking this sort of behavior in mind.

And are you telling me Bnet will have a graph of the cR I earn over time?
Either way, Bnet does some great stuff with Firefight, can't wait wait to see what they have in store for Reach.
Might I have a link to this statement please? I just haven't really seen anything said about those codes at all.Dani said:It's been stated that the Halo 2 codes will give you access on May 3rd, so Halo 2 code players will be getting access with the ODST disc folks. No early F&F access with them.

No they did not.Cuban Legend said:So we buy stuff for our Spartan's with cR, but the stuff wont give us any advantages in MP, they are merely visual...
But changing hitboxes to match custom upgrades, does that take away from the 'level playing field' that we all love Halo for?
Or is that acceptable? On that note did hitboxes change in Halo 3 this way?
