P.S. just put up am avatar, just testing it out
I like that they're using different accents this time around. That was a stroke of genius in the "we are ODST" ad for that game, and the game universe should build on it.Dax01 said:I think someone sounds bitter because there haven't been any Brits in the games up until now.:lol
The sniper Spartan talks right before they take off. Definitely is a guy, but I can't tell what the accent is. I'm terrible with that.Revelations said:Uhhh, we don't know if that's Linda yet do we? Infact it's possible that these could be Spartan III's?

No monks, I hope, as I have traditionally associated them with the feelings [awe, wonder, sadness] invoked by Forerunner architecture and technology.GhaleonEB said:Interested to see the direction it goes in, ie monks or no monks.
And there were monks in the E3 debut trailer. I'm assuming they're in, but I was surprised there wasn't at least reference to a classic Halo theme in the music. Not a complaint, just an observation. As ODST proved, that's not a bad thing.MagniHarvald said:Monks are for Halos. I hope there's monks, cause I'd love to see a Halo (I dream I know). A legendary ending with the Pillar of Autumn closing in on 04 with the monks starting their chant would be epic.
Don't forget "mystery"!Shake Appeal said:No monks, I hope, as I have traditionally associated them with the feelings [awe, wonder, sadness] invoked by Forerunner architecture and technology.
Edit: or, as that dude put it, "monks are for Halos".

Do you think these guys are spartan II's or spartan III's? Their designation numbers suggest that they are SIII's. 0259 and such is a far cry from the original 130 first spartans that was made for sII. All the spartan II's have numbers ranging from 000 - 130 correct?GhaleonEB said:I like that they're using different accents this time around. Jorge's number is 052.Revelations said:Do you think these guys are spartan II's or spartan III's? These are not they. I don't think any of these Spartans have been shown in the books yet.Revelations said:Nope. Some of them made it underground, under the mountain facility before the glassing of the planet
From the beginning, you know the end.tahrikmili said:Going by Halo canon, all these Spartans except Jon will be dead by the end of the game, right?

As far as I know this is correct.Sir Fragula said:These are not they. I don't think any of these Spartans have been shown in the books yet.

Right. That was Ze in the IRC chat last night. Whoops.Shake Appeal said:I'm not even British!

I've recently expressed my distaste for the Hornet in this thread. It needs to go.Blueblur1 said:The VGAs were indeed terrible, Fragula.
Oh, and I guess the Hornet won't be in Reach? The new helicopter actually looks like a plausible vehicle unlike the Hornet which felt like it was shoehorned in at the last minute. Have I ever bitched about the Hornet? Because it's terrible. Especially the first person viewpoint and lack of animations when riding on the side of it.

Looks like Reach's moon.

Right, except for him. I was more referring to his answer that talked about Fred, Kelly, and company.NeXuSDK said:Probably not true, as everything suggests that the Lone Wolf / Lieutenant is either Tom or Lucy from the book The Cole Protocol

This.enzo_gt said:How the hell can people call this CG? I mean, it looks good but you can clearly see it isn't 100% perfect. See the grass and possibly the mountain in this shot. I'm not saying it looks bad, but if that was in CG it'd look a hell of a lot better with a lot more post processing/effects on it.
chase said:Not sure what the point of this trailer was. I still don't understand the point of a co-op Halo. Has Bungie never met their community? Who would want to play with those people?

RSB said:The rich color palette was one of the many things that separated Halo from all other gritty, boring and mediocre shooters out there, and sadly, it seems like it´s missing from Reach. Halo 3 level graphics (pretty colors included) + 720p + AA + AF + global dynamic shadows + better character models = Amazing. They should have aimed for that, IMO.

Jorge is probably a Spartan-II. He's larger than all of the others in the trailer and probably about the same size the Chief is.Trasher said:Jorge's number is 052.
Also, they mention the "Lone Wolf" is a survivor of Pegasi where there were only Spartan III's. So there's at least one Spartan III.

I really did have that in mind while I was posting, that someone was going to respond with that ("That's no moon."), but I'm pretty sure that's Reach's moon.
Ah, right that would make sense. Good point!Blueblur1 said:Jorge is probably a Spartan-II. He's larger than all of the others in the trailer and probably about the same size the Chief is.
Haha I agree with you, but I just wanted to post that.Dax01 said:I really did have that in mind while I was posting, that someone was going to respond with that ("That's no moon."), but I'm pretty sure that's Reach's moon.
I was thinking the same thing. It looks nice, for sure, but it is not on the same level as CG.enzo_gt said:How the hell can people call this CG?
