I'm just saying that the environment feels more natural without an electric fense surrounding it, at least for outdoor maps. I'm not getting the mountain joke.

Booting up Halo 2 has made me extremely nostalgic, in ways I'll probably go into more detail about later in the week. I'm just grabbing the map packs right now, man they weren't kidding about it taking a while :lol

Good games folks, the differences from Halo 2 to 3 were quite startling to see first hand. For all of the things Halo 2 does rights, things like the spawnings betray it's age.

I do like the lo-poly environments though. It makes me think "Hey, I could make a level like this on my PC" unlike all them fancy graphic levels of H3

What didn't you like about the settings? Was it just that they have BR starts, or was more changed?

I thought they removed it from the rotation (360 issues.) I also think it was an extremely underrated map. I played a lot of great custom games on that map. Loads of fun and amazing atmosphere.

The invisibility caused some problems. Same frame-rate hitches happened to me in Colossus for Ninja Flag.

I really didn't mind the map either. If it weren't for the fact that neutral flag was the only gametype where the map came up in matchmaking, it may have gotten a better rap. I hated neutral flag.

Good games guys. I was a little rusty for the first 2 games but then my skills came back hahaha. Man, I had forgotten how much fun this game was. I played all the maps I wanted to except for Beaver Creek and Sanctuary. I guess I'll just play those on the 14th. Good games everyone.

The game is still for the most part amazing, but my team wasn't communicating at all the entire night so my experience wasn't that great. :( Might as well have been playing in MM with randoms against a team of 4. :lol

I thought Backwash was interesting just because it was fun to see plasma bolts and tracers in the distance, then watch the battle slowly come into focus as you moved through the fog.

Plus, Sentinel Beam and Needler games on that map turned into a Pink Floyd concert.

Hmm, so I got on Halo 2 an hour ago and no body on my FL was playing... what the hell happened? Played a few games of Team Slayer... Didn't do as bad as I thought I would. Even advanced a level.

Disapointed that I didn't get to play customs. Really wanted to play with a real team on good maps (with not SMG starts).

It sucks when you have to presss the bumper/dpad to talk every time, takes the easyness of communicating out of the game.

Also, about the settings.. it was regular old BR starts with no radar? Hell it even had SMG secondary so you could dual wield if you wanted... what was so MLG about them? Playing on Backwash was attempted, but the camo makes the game unplayable and iirc there is no option to remove it from the map.

under game settings you have the option to remove the active cammo and over shields from the maps.

You didn't miss much, I don't think most people were enjoying themselves, Halo 2 is quite a shock coming from 3 if you didn't play much of it to begin with. :lol I think some people found that out tonight...

I enjoyed actually being able to get 3/4 shot kills with the BR. It was nice. But yeah the game is different, it was much more hardcore then what GAF thinks it was. Soo many people are accustomed the way Halo 3 works. Halo 2 was all about bullets in your face immediately, and it was like this all the time. Sniper though, you could shoot the second bullet "almost" immediately after firing off the first shot, which made for such an easy sniper to use. [looks at tashi] That Collossus game it was already 3v4 and Tashi was just sitting back and sniping people from afar

That game was awesome, pretty sure the 3 of us held it down pretty good against their 4. The Halo 2 BR and Hitscan fucking rocks. Heres looking forward to donging tons of dudes in Reach.

There's a lot of things about Halo 2 that make it frustrating after playing more modern shooter. For instance, the screen turns bright red when being shot. Unlike modern shooters where the red is concentrated on the side your being shot from it's just red all over. This coupled with the fact that the BR will strike you from anywhere on the map can make it feel futile to try to survive when someone gets the drop on you.

Used to play Halo 2 online on my 360 3 years ago...would I be eligible or do I have to play it again?

Been so busy lately that I might not be able to play it on time.

Do I just have to go online and play a few matches?

Is there a FAQ for this somewhere or an official announcement? :lol Sorry for being a pain in the ass!

Lol. To come to my own defense, I never grabbed the sniper on Colossus on its spawn. I always grabbed it from one of the other team's dead bodies, and you guys just weren't able to move very far from your spawns hahahahaha

But yea you guys were making a comeback 3v4 and I wasn't about to let you guys steal a glorious win lol.

I had a lot of fun actually. I don't think any of you guys caught my BXR but Nutter, you did catch my double shot in the last game there on Ascension :lol :lol

I think after playing Halo 2 again for the first time in a while and playing Halo 3 later, I can safely say that I enjoy Halo 3's core gameplay better. I hope I will be able to say the same for Reach :)

In the games I was hosting I was pulling some double shots here and there, tried to do the BXR on a few people and unfortunatlely the melee bounced me backwards, looking somewhere else. So I was never able to finish the kill.

I'd like to know this too. I haven't heard of this Halo 2 reach emblem anywhere else but here.

Well It finally got done processing on Youtube. So here it is:

This project has been a monumental pain in the ass but at the same time its been a fun challenge. I just hope it doesn't disappoint anyone (yeah I know, the music.... I had my reasons) and after all, its all in fun right? :D
