Halo The Master Chief Collection |OT| Halo Never Died, It Was Just Missing In Action

Rebooted the game, played some halo 2 campaign, back to MP and it's failing to find anything, again.

I think this game should start up a server first and load you in, then connect others from there before launching into the match, just like quake were you wait in the map instead of on a menu screen.

Would be a LOT better, and hey maybe customs could be made and people wait for others to join, you know, to play online with each other.

I'm still completely unable to get into a match. Have been doing like 343 said, searching for 5 minutes, quitting and then restarting.. No luck.

The closest I got was a "Couldn't connect to host" error.

Damn it to hell in a handbasket. Campaign save corrupted and its just gone. Just nothing there like I didn't play. Xbox hardreset required to even get it back on.

Done trying for a while.

Can't you not just play the missions through the menu as they are all unlocked?

Dear Humanity... we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth.

And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!

Hoo-rah!

Just called up EbGames they said they can't do refunds if it's opened, but seeing as how it's barely playable, they'll give me store credit. Seriously considering it and rebuying when it's cheaper or working.

What I have noticed is when you do find someone for matchmaking it's always in a clump, you go from being on your own and 9 searching boxes to suddenly several people followed by a map vote.

There is no middle, no single user joining, it's all clumped together like toffee in a bag getting warm.

I think the worst glitch Iv experienced is the game freezing when looking for a pvp match and the background music glitching into a high pitched squeal. For a second I thought my Xbox broke. Scared the crap out of me.

And here I am sitting here getting into game after game. The lobby never keeps, but I have played all games of each version many times today. Kind of impressive according to others! Good luck all!

So after a long search, I get put into a Team Slayer BR match on Lockdown. Fantastic!

...

The game crashes on the map load screen.

Fuck this utter bullshit, I'm watching Halo Nightfall and then going to bed.

This thing gave me the Tour Of Duty (lol) achievment for playing on all H2A maps when I didn't got to my last map (it kicked me out before it began)

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
Matchmaking seems to work now for the most part but glitches and random crashes are still the thing.

So I've played through all of Halo 2 and just started up Halo 3 last night.

* The only framerate issues I ran into i Halo 2 were in the Sacred Icon level, out in the snowy night with tanks. You could feel the drops and stutters. Still playable but with some bad moments.

* The campaign crashed on me once when switching between the old and new look and feel. Got the loud noise and stall. Had to quit out of the program and start anew.

* Saving the game didn't seem to save my checkpoint. I'd resume playback and end up back at the level start. This happened with Outskirts a few times before I said fuck it and only played full missions or kept the game suspended.

* I found maybe 10 terminals, and only two of them worked by actually bringing up the Halo Channel to the right video. Every other time would launch me into some other video like the making of Halo 2 anniversary. Other times the Halo channel would just sit there on its splash-screen and do nothing at all. It was clunky to find my way back into the game proper until I just bounced to the dash and re-selected The MCC game tile again.

* Besides that, the most worrisome element was that sometimes, when I was done playing I'd bounce back to the dashboard and get these horizontal line flickers, like you'd see on a PC with graphics card issues. I've only seen it in relation to the MCC, and I've always shut the console down at that point.

* Some of the load times between gameplay and cinematics and back to gameplay could take up to 20 seconds each. Other times the transitions were near instant.

Those were my technical issues. On the positive side Halo 2 looked and played great, and Halo 3 seems to be flawless so far in terms of performance and clarity.

Oh my god if my CE save is gone...grrrr. Kind of want to see if it's there, but then again, booting up the game and loading the save is probably way riskier right now.

i swear individual games used to kill 360s.

Nightfall's okay, but it feels like they spent a ton of time setting stuff up and filling in people on the backstory. Lots of exposition. Hopefully, now that they've gotten that out of the way, we'll see the plot develop more naturally and the characters get fleshed out.

I actually got into a pretty good handful of games tonight. H2A seems to be the place to go. Still having long wait times though. 2-3 minutes. I've only had one 4v2 game and only one crash when the game starts so I guess im lucky with that. Most of my matches have been 4v4 or 3v3.

I'm getting into matches now but getting completely destroyed by premades. Just finished up a 3v2 game where it ended 38-8.

I used to be pretty good but I also haven't played in years. Oh well, I just need some practice.
