Thanks. Gonna check it out now.
Hope it's the halo 3 one. Loved the clash. I'm not sure if the reach melee counter would be good or not. It never felt consistent.Random thought: I hope the sword in Halo 5 is good.

It'd be cool if a melee counter would break your weapon on hand.
Are the Reach/4 assassinations in H2A MP?
I haven't heard them talk about it.
That's cool then, I think they would break pace to much anyways.from the games I've watched, no one has really gone for one. Seen plenty of Beat Downs.

What? preposterous! no one tried to assassinate someone? Let me test it.
Why did they make two SMG models? They're different, right?
I recognize that the assassination animation makes using it impractical in a match, but it's a bit odd that no one has tried it at least once.
It is quite ironic wonder how that happened?Ironically the Anniversary MP SMG is closer to the original Halo 2 SMG than the one in Halo 2 Anniversary...

I wonder if the Halo 2 Anniversary SMG is meant for Halo 5? I mean, re-using models is quite possible, isn't it?
I am pretty sure HALO 2 A wont have assassinations
If they were going to bring it back I wouldn't be surprised if they did use a very similar model to the one they've got in H2A multi.I wonder if the Halo 2 Anniversary SMG is meant for Halo 5? I mean, re-using models is quite possible, isn't it?

There was a regular backsmack and it gave the Assassination medal.
I hope Halo 5 doesn't either. Or Halo 6. Or any Halo game from this point onwards.

That's what happened in both Halo 2 and 3. From the front = beatdown, from the back = ninja
Awwww but I really like the mechanic.....
I don't know, it looks different to me...If they were going to bring it back I wouldn't be surprised if they did use a very similar model to the one they've got in H2A multi.

Well that sucks. That SMG is a bit ugly.I don't know, it looks different to me...
Looks like a COD Ghost DLC weapon
Agreed, it had it's day.I hope Halo 5 doesn't either. Or Halo 6. Or any Halo game from this point onwards.
Needs more weapon skinsI don't know, it looks different to me...
and here's Halo 5's
Those weapon models leave much to be desired. Especially that Rocket Launcher. There's no reason to change the Rocket Launcher but there they go 343-ing it up.
Needs something like this:Needs more weapon skins

I agree to a point, but it really just looks like an SMG with a crazy amount of detail and super high poly count. Look at the AR, too.
EDIT: Actually, here are all the weapons from the ViDoc incase someone hasn't seen them all yet...
The one used in the MP is apparently the Halo 3 model, which could just be a place holder until they bring over the new one we've seen in campaign footage.
The Halo PC version of the Flamer had the same shark's head motif.
I did not make it, but yes that's what you're looking at.http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=46330&start=36did you camera match an extracted Halo 3 mesh to a screenshot?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwPwC4A5zwIA lot of the weapon models have changed since this was taken, most notably the Sniper Rifle so it's possible the SMG model in this shot is place holder.
Some more can't hurt. I've been spoiled rotten by bandit manufactured weapons in borderlands 2 in that regard.Eh, it's been done
