The only bad thing was the kids who were throwing fireworks at people. I got hit with one in the shoulder. Ear still kinda numb and I have a bruise/ruined tshirt.
What made the whole thing thsat much better was drunk ass dad trying to pick a fight with everyone for yelling at his kids to stop throwing fireworks.
Fortunately, the Chicago PD does not put up with drunken threats and attempting to strike fellow officers with 40 oz bottle well.

Haha ! This was me too! I did however go out to the market and bought some snacks and these little kids decided to throw one of those firecrackers out in the middle of the street. I saw him and I came to a complete stop. Watched that piece of shit firework ignite and looked over to him on the sidewalk. I have him that I'm-pissed-off-don't-ever-do-that-again-look. I got a response out of him "I'm sorry". And I pulled off.
