I haven't done any kind of Black Friday anything in a long time, so I don't know how to gauge when I should get there. doors open at 8. What time would people recommend getting there?

I'm not messing with this until I can go in a store and buy it without hassle.

Not waking up early for this nonsense.

I love Nintendo, but I'm plenty occupied with games and I can wait.

Make sure you say yes when they ask you if you need any batteries today. You can use them as projectiles against your enemy shoppers.

D size, baby.

For real in 20 days this shit will be collecting dust on shelves

Doors open at 8? Arrive at 3AM.

It's going to be funny when everyone at the front of the line decides they want a hatchimal and NES classic.

Is there any source on this?

I'm ready to go line up if I need to, but I don't want to stand out in the cold at 3 AM for nothing.

I don't get it.

Nobody's kids want an NES.

My Nes Classic is called a Raspberry Pi 3. It has waaaay more games, and only cost me $35

Just imagine your kids face when they wake up on Christmas morning and open their presents and find a beautiful shiny new Raspberry Pi 3.

I walked past a bunch of amiibos on a shelf in Walmart the other day that made me think that I should just wait.

Now I imagine a bunch of kids mad on christmas they have to play old games on the tv.

Do kids actually care about older consoles? I'd imagine that most kids would open up an NES and be upset unless it's their first console.

Hatchimals is like the dumbest shit, it just hatches and then its just a regular toy
But then again, we all bought Furbys and shit growing up let them enjoy it

NES classic got old for a few people I know, they just played it that entire weekend and then sold it for $150 because they wanted to get it down the road so basically it'll be free for them when it gets flooded.

I'll line up with my cousins since they want one and I might buy one to keep sealed since I opened mine, that was my plan from the start, one to play, one to keep sealed for my collection B^)

Here is a dumb question, can you buy all the included games on virtual console already and how much would they set you back?

first time I've ever heard of Hatchimals. kinda shocked stupid toys like this still exist what with tablets and everything else.

hopefully I can snag a NESMini online

I had an alerts set on my phone to let me know when the damn Hatchimals came in stock and was able to get one at Walmart.

shit like that happened every sunday for like 2 months when the Wii was hot.

Wii came out back when I was managing a game store which was open on Thanksgiving. Nintendo put some serious drugs in their Kool-AID.

*Pull up to work at 9:30am. See over a dozen people waiting in line.*

What are you guys waiting for? Oh, the Wii. Yeah, we don't have any in stock.

*Open door at 10:00am. Same individuals in line, now longer.*

Hi, we are here to purchase a Wii.

My 8 year old actually loves it. I have converted the old nes/snes/genesis controllers to USB, and I've built a 10 button arcade stick for MAME. Not to derail the topic, just pointing out that my son loves the classics I grew up on.

Yeah my kid has loved pretty much every console I've hooked up. You have to remember it's all new to them. Good games are pretty timeless.

Absolutely. I've got my original 2600 Atari, snes, nes, genesis, sega cd, N64, Dreamcast, Xbox, PS2 all hooked into a CRT tv so he can experience the "old days" like I did. All last and current generation systems are on the HD tv's.

I typically rely on NowInStock to keep track of stuff like this, but damn if all the major online retailers have been completely out of stock for almost a solid month. Don't need one bad enough to go Brick and Mortar hunting.
