Hate building in TOTK? You can now share autobuilds with QR codes

Zelda Notes added some pretty neat features, such as being able to send friends items, but a feature I didn't really notice until recently is the ability to share autobuilds with a QR code

you can google QR codes now, and they're everywhere online.

figured I'd share because this is a pretty neat QoL feature that has been a bit overlooked IMO

what are your thoughts on Zelda Notes?

tbh, played for more than hundred hours, i never much invest much time in it. only for some usefulness for exploration, never thought to use it to abuse the world. saw some cool builds but never thought to build it by myself. could be neat for new comer or for those who wants to build something cool, though.

This honestly kinda changes things for me. I bounced on TOTK so fast because I absolutely couldn't stand having to build stuff.

As it was, I played the game wrong because I played way too long before getting auto-build. IF I would have had it earlier I would have built more things more often.

BEcause once you get it ...building is more like getting on a horse or using whatever that was to rocket up cliffs.

I feel that there's so little you have to build... you can completely avoid that mechanic most of the time. I fee like I spent my first 20 hours or something barely touching it except for extremely simple solutions like attaching a rocket to a something to send it off. Got into building much later.

How long until someone abuses this feature to brick people's consoles?

EDIT: Upon further research:
  1. Unverified data could trigger bugs, glitches, or repeated crashes.
  2. QR code data isn't cleansed if it's spoofed via modded saves, so corrupted/malformed data could wreck your save.
  3. This runs purely in-game and doesn't involve system-level hacks. Currently there are no known paths to damage the Switch firmware or hardware, but that isn't to say it couldn't occur down the road.
The biggest potential issue (currently) is data corruption that could lead to damaged save files.

Eh, I'll stick to BOTW. The building is such a fundamental part of TOTK that arcane solutions like this still aren't enough to really correct that for me.
