Awww maybe they're just good peoples. :3

I actually feel like it'd be a win-win. She gets more airtime and more of a personality, her fans get to see more of her on national TV than most musical guests get, and Letterman gets a perfectly bizarre segment. But probably not worth the effort.

Of course, but I have a feeling the average Letterman audience member wouldn't be aware of the weird anime stigma attached to Miku enough to give it awkawrd silence.

It's not as much about stigma as seeing a cartoon girl singing at all. It's probably quite a left turn from what they're probably used to.

I couldn't help but notice how happy the guitarist was just during the song.

Also, does anyone know the name of the song? I haven't heard this one before.

I can't believe this actually happened. Good lord. Was she even singing with words? It sounded like fuzzy electronic mumbling.

Uh, I think you mean anime-style. "Anime" as a word only applies to animation made in Japan, and Miku is not animated she is made by computers. Baka!

Should had went with a Japanese song, its not as if Miku English is understand able to begin with.

Hope we get some better videos, the sound didn't appear particularly good, I could barely hear Miku at the start.

You know, I have supported anonymous crowd-created (or whatever shit PR buzzword you want to use) culture from the "shadows" since 1998-9, and the fact that Miku was on Letterman tonight; I just really can't put into words.

I think I'll have another couple beers in celebration of impending Oculus Rift succubus/incubus apocalypse.

I guess they chose Letterman because of the Ed Sullivan Theatre connection? If it worked with the Beatles back in the 1960's, maybe it will work for them too.

It was funny how just Letterman introducing her caused some woman in the audience to bust out laughing.

Still can't believe this happened. The whole otaku community has come a long way in a few years.

I kinda want her on the Today show just for shits and giggles now.

When she's singing in Japanese, I can at least recognize it's Japanese. In English, I can't even recognize it asa a language.

When I say anime I mean "that weird Japanese stuff that confuses and/or disturbs people".

And Vocaloid not getting an anime is the weirdest shit. That shit would sell like hotcakes.
