During the concert, RATM frontman Zach de la Rocha said to the crowd, "brothers and sisters, our democracy has been hijacked,"[3] and later also shouted "we have a right to oppose these motherfuckers!"[5] After the performance, a small group of attendees congregated at the point in the protest area closest to the DNC, facing the police officers.[5] Reports of what activity they engaged in vary, the most extreme being reports of throwing glass, concrete and water bottles filled with "noxious agents,"[6] spraying ammonia on police and slingshotting rocks and steel balls.[7] However, milder reports also arose, one only mentioning "tossing rocks."[8] The police soon after declared the gathering an unlawful assembly,[5] switch off the electrical supply, interrupting performing band Ozomatli,[8] and informed the protestors that they had 15 minutes to disperse on pain of arrest.[9] Some of the protesters remained, however, including two young men who climbed the fence and waved black flags, who were subsequently shot in the face with pepper spray.[7] Police then forcibly dispersed the crowd, using tear gas, pepper spray and rubber bullets.[7] At least six people were arrested in the incident.[9]
As mass shootings seem to be commonplace in America now days how many of you have been around when someone starts shooting in a crowd of people.
. I am going to clubs every week here in Germany and I have not experienced one shooting. Guess why? Because people cant buy guns here.
...
I can tell you that if something like that would happen in a club it would be a huge nationwide scandal and in the news because usually people dont have to be afraid when going out that they might get shot.
They are more common than other places, but they are by no means "commonplace".
You guys have literally scared yourself into thinking this country is all some huge war zone. That's what happens when all you know about a country is what you read on sites like this.
I club hopped for years and never experienced a shooting. I've also never been in fear of being shot while going out. This is a huge country and most of it is extremely safe.
At least it's funny now.It was crazy because it was in a different city, and I was with one of my cousins for the previous one and we joked about how funny it would be if that club got shot up, it wasnt that funny later
I've had a whole bunch of lockdowns at my school (Manitoba). It was pretty much gunmen, bomb threats, bomb threats and more bomb threats - all fake. I got pretty used to lockdowns and enjoyed the break from schoolwork. There was one bomb threat that was actually scary because the police set up a barricade on our school's street. Myself and a bunch of other students thought the bomb might have been real so we crossed the street to get away from the school. Eventually, the teachers followed. I was secretly hoping for the school to blow up. It didn't. :/My school had a lock down, it turned out to be an umbrella. The other time was a false alarm as well, but when they lock you in the classrooms and you don't know it's a false alarm, it's freaky
Holy shit, OP. The lesson here is to never attend under-21 clubs.
Wait, you ditched your mom while there was a shooting going on? How did you forget her?
shit, why am i laughing at these lmfaoOP, you need stop going to clubs lol.
i can tell you that that's not true.lol this is a dumb statement
i bet you think chicago has a gun store on every corner
where in chicago do you live? I honestly don't see many gun stores (but i also live in the south loop so that may explain that), but even by our englewood property i haven't seen any. now street vendors, that's another story lmaoAs a resident I can affirm that there is one on every corner in addition to street vendors selling chilled glocks.
lol my god the media has made it so bad that everyone outside the U.S. thinks this shit happens on a daily basis here. I've lived in 3 different states and never been close to a public shooting.
With gunshots! But the clubs be poppin!
