Correct!

Played the demo on Steam. Totally hype for this but september is so jam packed with games I have to move this to free up time for Cronos.

Nice.
I'm looking forward to it but I remember reading the performance on PC wasn't great. So I'm curious how it's going to look/run on my base Ps5.

After that last video they released, I'm all in.

Also, as a graphic designer, the line spacing in that post is making my eyes bleed.

I like to hear this.
It's oozing atmosphere with even less of a hud than something like ghost of Tsushima. Souls-ish combat but not difficult. Just exploration, characters and puzzles. I can already tell it makes you care about the characters. I returned something to a guy that I really didn't need to. Could have just left. But I wanted to backtrack a little to give it to him to not be an ass.

Nice. Really looking forward to this. Seems like something to approach quite differently to the titles that released over the last years. Old School feeling kind of.
Do we know if this demo will be time limited? I'd rather know beforehand if I have to make time on wednesday and thursday morning for this.

Bump! Reminder to play this demo tomorrow. It's good stuff.
Thanks, I'll jump in Wednesday morning. Really curious how the whole thing functions without quest markers and a map.
Since you seem to have played the pc demo, is it designed in a way that feels natural to progress and solve the puzzles (as far as you can tell from the demo)? How long is the demo approximately?

I'll download it and try it, but with MGS a few days before its release and Ghost of Yotei a month later, I don't know if i am buying it before holidays.

I was struggling to maintain 60fps on a 4070 at 1440p. I'm really Interested to see how the console versions will fare in terms of performance and image quality.

Assuming it's the same demo, you listen to what NPCs tell you and look around the environment being observant. Basically the two things I fail at with the wife irl. Maybe this game will help me.

Like a path marked with windchimes. Or symbols for a puzzle but part is broken off. Etc.

I think a lot of it will just be looking for a light or sign of life or building. Since it's dark and wooded at parts.

Also it does the NPC thing where what your hear from one NPC gives you another chat option to ask an earlier NPC. So you kinda investigate via talking to peeps.

I think I beat it around 90min. I forget. But I'm sure it can be done a lot faster.

Thanks for the info, that sounds quite nice. Was hoping for a 'Secret World' kind of feeling to the investigations.
A path marked with wind chimes as an example sure sounds like it.
Being observant in the environment I might be able to, but listen to what NPCs tell me isn't my strong suit (same as you in real life :messenger_grinning_sweat:)

Lots of talking it seems, I hope they are voiced well and the conversations flow smoothly.

Looking forward to it. A well needed change of pace in an action adventure game. Nice that they do a demo, not enough of those these days.

It looks interesting. I have it on pre-order, still debating on if I'll keep the order. I've seen gameplay and it's not blowing me away but it does intrigue me.

I thought the voice acting was good. There are Zelda type dungeons with exploration and puzzles. So kinda secret world there too.

I played a good chunk of it on Steam Deck. I'd recommend native on PC cause it's hard to make out some of the details you gotta see in the environment.

To me it felt like another palate cleanser. Souls type combat but not hard. Not rogue-ish. Not starring at stat screens. Etc. Just take it all in and go.

The cockiness/overconfidence this dev has in the marketing materials and demo videos is really offputting. The game doesn't look that great, wouldn't hurt them to be a little more humble as it's about to receive 7's across the board at best

That sounds lovely and right up my alley.
Our son will be born beginning of October so I have about three weeks to get into the groove and then I'm home for a month with my wife, our then 22 months old and the newborn...so I'll have to be patient to get a small session here and there, but the gameplay loop should be nice to unwind and relax...otherwise it's Snowrunner/Expeditions on the Switch when I can grab a few minutes :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I met the dev back when they were Deus Ex team and you couldn't be more wrong. They're just making a game they wanted to make and that Square-Enix either wouldn't have financed or put so many marketing peoples around the meetings to leash the creatives that it would have veered into some GAAS shit.

They're authentic as can be

You sound like an asshole with that comment to be honest
