Is Superman supposed to be that kind of good looking, though? Handsome, yes. And I'm pretty sure Cavill is gay, too.

yeah, he is. When he's in his get up he's supposed to be 'OMG, alien sexy, sexy gorgeous!' so handsome it doesn't matter what he's wearing, etc. But, the glasses obscure that. LOL And I THINK you are confusing Cavill with the other guy from Immortals - Zeus.

Isn't the panal today, can we expect any footage or something?

Guessing from the post right above yours, the panel is tomorrow.

EDIT: Actually, that person is wrong. Just looked on the comic con site. Man of Steel is in fact today at 2:30.

Its today... I dun goofed.

Expect the usual panel stuff... Pics of the cast... Maybe some official film pics released and a better description of the plot.

As far as the teaser, expect descriptions only. Teaser is attached to TDKR and it will get an official release after wed.

Pretty sure the True Blood guy was this guy:

Joe Manganiello (the guy who plays Alcide)

I like him but I think they got the right guy in Cavill. Matt Bomer has the look but he always struck me as short. Maybe that's because I'm used to seeing him stand next to Zach Levi all the time though.

my wife would have creamed her pants if he would have been the new Superman

Silas Lesnick: He says that, in the past, Superman has been a big blue boy scout on throne.

3:42
Silas Lesnick: He wants to make it so he can beat the s--t out of people

This does not inspire hope.

the footage....

We see flashes of Smallville. The farm house. Clark running in a red cape as a child.
3:46
Silas Lesnick: An older, bearded Clark walks a snowy road in an arctic town.
3:47
Silas Lesnick: We hear Russell Crowe's voice talking about children being inspired to greater things
3:47
Silas Lesnick: It sounds like it's cut with Kevin Costner's voice. Both fathers are giving Clark/Kal advice on how to become who he wants to be
3:48
Silas Lesnick: We see Clark being brought to the Kent barn and shown the spaceship that has been hidden there

3:48
Silas Lesnick: Clark holds a small piece of metal with the S logo on the end

3:48
Silas Lesnick: We're jumping back and forth through time periods

3:48
Silas Lesnick: Clark, as a teen, saved a bus of kids

The bus crashed in the water and we see him swimming, pulling the door off.

3:49
Silas Lesnick: "People are afraid of what they don't understand," says Costner
3:49
Silas Lesnick: We see Clark talking to Jor-El. They're standing right in front of one another, but I think it's a holographic projection (though it looks live)

3:50
Silas Lesnick: We see Superman in the suit. First from a distance and then walking across a snowy plain

3:50
Silas Lesnick: There are flashing of Superman flying and one of him catching someone falling off a building

3:50
Silas Lesnick: A single flash of Amy Adams' Lois Lane

3:51
Silas Lesnick: One flash has Superman (in costume) -- seemingly in handcuffs -- being led down a hallway by a security force
3:51
Silas Lesnick: We see Clark (without seeing his face) stepping into an elevator and begin to lift glasses to his face

3:52
Silas Lesnick: There's a flash of Clark, shirtless, with his whole body on fire

3:52
Silas Lesnick: Another of him crashing into the bank vault we saw in the first still. It looks like he's been thrown.

Fuck I can't wait and must see the teaser...

But Snyder insists he won't be reusing any music from the previous movies.

He told Total Film: "We decided to act as if no Superman film had been made - even though we love the films that have been made.

"We had to say this is a Superman movie for the first time and you can't then go 'Oh, now let's steal a little music.'

"So, yes it's awesome music but Hans Zimmer is going to do something awesome."

On the approach to the project as a whole, he said: "Superman is a big responsibility but I felt he needed to be reintroduced to a generation and I thought this was a great opportunity.

"We have great respect for the canon. I would say it is a clashing of stories and ideas. Superman is the king-daddy of all superheroes - to make him work is a big deal.

"The big challenge is if you can make people feel 'What would you do if you were Superman?' That's what we went out to do as far as we could. Superman's always been this kind of big blue boy-scout up on a throne that nobody can really touch, so we tried to make him relatable."
