I will enjoy mine once some more games come out. Animal Crossing would be perfect on the Wii U.
I haven't really been keeping up with Wii U despite still eventually wanting to pick one up. Has there been any progress or news from Nintendo in terms of the system-locked accounts/games, or is it still the general 'exploring our options' statement?

I'm enjoying my Wii U much more for the single player experiences like Eartbound, Lego City, Wind Waker HD and previously ZombiU. It really needs more quality multiplayer games like Wii Party and Wii Sports though. Strange that the follow-up to the Wii would be so barren of great casual party games.
is the need for speed u good or meh?
Hahaha, and I thought I was the only person who bought a WiiU this past weekend.
I'm playing Wind Waker for the first time. This is a delightful game so far.
Glad you enjoy it OP.
I know I've been probably been beaten to it, but:
Great single player:
-ZombiU
-Lego City
-New Super Luigi U
-Pikmin 3 (edited in....how could I forget!)
Great multiplayer:
-Rayman Legends
-NintendoLand
I just looked at your profile... WOW! I love your drawings! Followed you!add me as well guys: illuminatis
Another thing: TVii sucks.
I wonder if Internet browsing and video streaming are not the most used features of any tablet.Really curious as to the % of use the different features get. Seems like every time I look at my friends list, a fair number of people are using it for the internet browser or Netflix.
Please enjoy Wonderful 101. It's a well hidden gem that doesn't come around too often. And look forward to Bayonetta 2 next year!! :O
... Wait? Bravoman producer??... I LOVE these comics, and the "anime" adaptation is perfect, I watched them with my friends, and made them into Bravoman fans. xD Sorry, a bit of fanboyism... ^^;[...]
Add me if you'd like! My NNID is "MaverickHuntrAsh."![]()
I must say my most used APP is the browser, followed by Miiverse... THEN there is some games, like Disney Infinity, Ninja Gaiden 3, Rayman Legends, etc. xDReally curious as to the % of use the different features get. Get ZombiU, it's probably the only game I've ever owned that was legitimately scary. I think it's only $20 now too.
Toki Tori 2 is a must as well. It's on sale for $9. The original Toki Tori should launch in the next couple weeks as well for $2.
Edit: My NNID is Ray00101. Feel free to add me, I have Monster Hunter.
You should get a part time job to have a little cash flow for your hobbies. Seriously, when I was in college I had 16 hour days, sometimes 20 hour days. Got my BS in 24 months. While I didn't have a part time job(lazy) I knew people that had the same insane school schedule as I and they worked as well. At a regular university you'll likely have 2-6 hour school days. You'd be surprised at how willing people will be to work around your schedule. It's something worth looking into, especially if it's close to your dorm/apartment and you don't have to drive to work.I just got the Wii U on Friday, downloaded Wind Waker HD, and played Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, while also downloading a demo for Wonderful 101. I have to say I truly love having the Wii U as my own. I'm a poor college student with no money, but I did have a bet with my dad about college. Since I won, we'd save up money (him and I since I want to at least pay part of the dang console) and we bought it the day it came down in price.
Anyway, I love the TV control input the Wii U has, which is a shame my dang Dish Network box worked with the Wii U Pad, but ah well. I love Miiverse, it's so addicting to just read people's posts.
I haven't tried out Wii U Chat, but my friend did and he said it was decent. I want to try it out at some point.
The Gamepad is super comfortable and it makes playing games better, at least for me. The only thing I want is that longer battery from Japan.
Here are my negatives for it: the loading is still a slight pain for me. I updated it to the current update and it's still a bit too slow for my liking. Hopefully Nintendo will ACTUALLY give us that damn update.
The battery life is a pain. 'Nuff said.
Lastly, I just need more games! I'll wait until Christmas or Black Friday, whatever one makes things cheaper!

This is a pretty common trend. Lots of wii u hating but when you actually own one you start to love what the console brings to the table.
Glad you are enjoying the console OP. Things are only getting better. Make sure you get Zombi U, The Wonderful101, Pikmin 3, Lego City, NFSW U, Splinter Cell. Lots of more games coming this holiday season like Wind Waker.
Basically that. Saying that they're aware that it's a problem but they have nothing to announce.
I don't get this. You are a poor college student who just got two massive games and an awesome demo. How exactly do you need more games? I didn't read through the rest of the thread, but I barely have time to play games in college at all, heck I barely even browse NeoGAF unless I'm trying to slack off or I just woke up. (Note, not frustrated at you, just frustrated at life)

Tekken
Wii U has a arcade stick right?

I think this happens to every console. People who invested are most likely to defend and enjoy it, while people who don´t have it or won´t get will likely bash it to justify they don´t have it. Psychology is weird.
I love my Wii U. Game library has a bit of everything, with sports and FPS lacking the most.
Bring Fucking Donkey Kong and the rest of the games coming!!
Do yourself a favor and pick up Spin the Bottle: Bumpy's Party. It's only going to go up in price and its one of the best party games ever made.I'm enjoying my Wii U much more for the single player experiences like Eartbound, Lego City, Wind Waker HD and previously ZombiU. I got one because the store had a good deal. Didn't have high expectations for it, but I'm primarily a handheld gamer. I kind of like that it offered something different; the first thing I look at is exclusives and I guess I'm not much of a mainstream western gamer so I liked what was there.
Lucky you, can't play mine outside of the living room >_>.I'd say 80% of my time with the console has been spent playing it as a handheld thanks to off-tv play. Obviously it's more limited than a true handheld, but I appreciate the ability to play from anywhere in my apartment.
Nope, wrong. I've had my Wii U since launch. I don't enjoy it and I certainly have no desire to defend it or any other video game device.
I don't even have much of a desire to play it right now even though I have 5-6 games for it. I am enjoying my PS3 backlog too much.
Yup, Two Tribes said over Twitter that they had submitted Toki Tori HD to Nintendo and that it would be way cheaper than Toki Tori 2. Everyone assumed that meant $5, same as Steam, until they later responded with $1.99.Wait.....What?
really wait waarzehfklsdf
