It's a system seller title for me if I didn't already have a Series S. And by that I mean, I can't imagine just not playing this ever to save $250. Just a thought. But maybe a few more titles will release eventually to make it worth it.Is there any chance a PS or Switch port comes out later?
Finished the game! But it seems I am not done for quite a while! I love that there is so much replay value.
Cant wait to see the dge review on this. At an absolute minimum I'm going 8 out of ten.
I hope MS has some sense and puts this game everywhere they can this year. Netflix, e3 time. Etc. Have these guys announce some games or something. The characters are amazing.
The whole game is a tutorial for the last 3 or 4 stages. If you want a lot of action wait until you get to those.I really like this game but I wish it wasn't like 75/25 platforming ratio!
Zero Punctuation covered it. Hating everything is sort of Yahtzee's thing but it seems like he couldn't muster anything bad to say about this one.

This is the max i can do and i can't beat the door number 8
So, if they ever make a sequel, what songs should they license for it? Considering that John Johanes seems to be a late 90’s, early 00’s kid, I think something like Queens of the Stone Age would fit right in. 4/4 stuff like Go with the Flow. Maybe The Strokes, some britpop stuff like Elastica. Hot Chip. Just fantasizing.
Early aughts rock is definitely the theme, all the music is from that time. Which admittedly was not really the best time for the culture, but it clearly works for this game. So, if they ever make a sequel, what songs should they license for it? All great choices and, damn, Mclusky is a name I haven't heard in ages. Lightsaber Cocksucking Blues!Early aughts rock is definitely the theme, all the music is from that time. Which admittedly was not really the best time for the culture, but it clearly works for this game.
I'd think like... Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, White Stripes, Spoon, all of that kind of stuff would probably fit pretty well.
If I were to wishlist some stuff that feels less obvious/likely, maybe mclusky, Ted Leo, Fugazi, Pavement, Screaming Females, Cibo Matto, maybe even some Prince if you're nasty.
Vandalay Industries creates a time machine and they can go to any decade of music. So, if they ever make a sequel, what songs should they license for it? Without spoiler i can say also persona 5 and xenogears referencesDidn’t realize this had JoJo references.
Shot up to my next play after Ishin.
I doubt it would run nice enough. Those kinds of games need to be played at 60fps, even more so this one with all the sync between music and gameplay. They should definitely port this for the next Nintendo switch

Just finished my second playthrough on hard, what a game man, now I need to do spectra doors 9-16.
Hopefully they are not too difficult, or no more finish this battle with X amount of % in time, as I only did the 85% one as I triple dashed everywhere my timing is

The new Switch could be very cool if it had DLSS. My major gripe with the current model is blurry games and bad performance, and DLSS could really help with those two.The next gen Switch will easily be able to run this. Even at conservative clock speeds it should be more powerful than a PS4.

I highly recommend tapping your foot.I'm really sad because the game was great, and I was loving it but due to my slow reflexes and retardation I couldn't finish it because the mini games with a ton of QTEs were too hard for me even with the aids to make them easier.
Kind of a bummer that finishing it on higher difficulties does not unlock the achievements for lower difficulties.Just finished my second playthrough on hard, what a game man, now I need to do spectra doors 9-16.

Right around the time that Nintendo ports Mario to the Xbox. LOL
Very, very unlikely.
I beat the game last night
Those final levels with the crazy bosses felt like a platinum game. Flawless on PC. For all the attention given to the ones that stutter at launch day with shit ports, this one is stellar.
Bought it on Steam day 1. I felt that this 100% deserved the price.
New patch with a couple of bug fixes and difficulty assist options today.
I was/am struggling with parry in this game. How fitting they would specify an assist for this.
You might ruffle some souls feathers with that comment......Every game benefits from having more accessibility options. No exception.
Finally got around to finishing this game. Quite excellent. Loved some of the boss battles. The style in this game is oozing off the charts
Visuals were striking, gameplay was fun though I will admit that some of the later boss fights felt kind of absurd with some of the timing of parry attacks.
I really do hope that Tango is working on an RPG with this visual technology. I can't imagine how beautiful it would be. My biggest complaint for Hi Fi was how limited the level and game design was. An open world RPG with some of this DNA would be incredible.
Next Xbox game will probably be Psychonauts 2 or Pentiment, but they may have to wait until I get done with Zelda/FF16
yeah, the leveldesign was also a bit too devil may cry esque for me.
it's a bit worn out these days.
that IP could have legs tho.
they could make it into an actual action adventure with less restrictive level and gamedesign... and less tutorials
- Removed exploit that allowed players to continuously resell attacks that the player has already sold. This adds realism since you cannot sell that which is no longer yours.
- Fixed an issue where the "Specialist" challenge on The Wall of Fame will not be unlocked despite purchasing all available Special Attacks in the game. (Note: This is retroactive, so if you have already purchased the attacks it will register the objective as complete automatically)
- Fixed an issue where a cool hidden animation for playing with 808 on the couch while she is equipped with the Bossplay Roquefort costume would not play.
- Fixed support of PSO caching on the Microsoft Store version which could cause hitching during gameplay.
- Adjusted couch pillow softness in the hideout to better refresh Chai when relaxing in between missions.
