HITMAN |OT| Blood Monthly

Since the last patch you can use lethal poison without it counting.
Going and eating food is pretty much the first thing Morgan does on starting the level, so this is a super quick and easy kill

In my experiments I think
the dish he chooses is random, which makes it a bit annoying to pull off. Perhaps I'm wrong?

6 GB is a hefty patch on PS4, but if it gets rid of those audio stutters, I'll be happy.

It definitely is, or at the very least, he tries them all in a certain order on each loop. I had given up and began setting up the Tuk Tuk kill after 15 minutes when the kill notification finally popped up, so I think he'll eventually revisit a given dish.

For you.
You mean it's pretty good. The game was too easy as it was. Hell, in BM it was even harder.

Nah, its terrible. All it does is making NPC's completely unpredictable. That and makes them see you when you're behind them. Its a terrible feature for a Hitman game and TheKotti's vídeo that was posted here exemplifies it pretty well.

I'm in the camp that welcomes this change. I, as a player, need to be more cautious because of that.

It would be awesome to see a 100% challenge speed run of this game, starting from zero mastery. Although I don't think there's a way to reset your progress.

Also, I tried the "bring Ken Morgan to the Queen Suite" challenge again and it still didn't work 😐

I posted this earlier but this is how I did it.

Poison Ken Morgan. Pick up sniper in 47's room, sneak to the very top floor. Snipe Cross in a VERY particular spot and then SPRINT to the exit before his body is discovered.

Tried this one. Silenced sniper rifle but I'm getting guards alerted no matter what on the snipe from the same angle.

e: yeah this is annoying me, I can't find any sniping points that aren't alerting the guards. Silent rifle, crouched, yeah.

Agreed. This game is great but the difficulty is lacking at the moment. This is a small but welcome change that encourages people to be more observant.

That's the thing though, it doesn't encourage people to be more observant at all. You are reliant purely on luck since when they turn their heads is purely random. That and they many times magically see behind.

Yep, all it's wider than in a real hotel. It's a gameplaly concession, let's remind ourselves this is a stealth game. That way sometimes you can avoid being discovered when you have to cross a corridor with a white dot in it.

true. I think the other levels mask it better with the crowds.

Think I'm done with this map until a proper patch. Bad night of glitches, challenges not registering, AI weirdness and hard crashing.

Does the Kotti Paradigm escalation seem buggy to anyone else? Standing in the room opposite the bathroom that the first target enters, and sometimes npcs will walk inside to investigate, despite me not having done shit, which complicates it because it counts as trespassing in that particular area.

I remember that happening, but only once. I think I tried to avoid this by not getting into cover beside the door.

Ah sorry man. I found it had to be super particular with where he gets killed. It's hard to see in the video but I'm aiming right above a cactus or plant thing in that window, and that seemed to be the sweet spot.

I only found this was possible because I accidentally did it very early on and just assumed it was easy to do. Then when I tried to recreate it, it took me a good 10-15 attempts to find the spot.

You can also shoot him from one floor lower, you need to sneak around the staff though,

I was hoping that the tuk-tuk owner would have a unique reaction if he went to look for Morgan and passed by his body on the way.

He walked right by the body without noticing... Although I'm not sure if it's because Morgan fell so hard from above that he was half-buried in the ground.

Unbelievable how awful the weapon aiming is when using a controller. It's literally unusable for me, to the point that I have to switch to my mouse when shooting. Never had this problem with Absolution. It's made even worse by the fact that the right analogue stick on my DS3 is a bit loose, which makes it easy to accidentally tilt the camera a bit. Some games it's very noticeable (Hitman, GTA V), other games it's not really an issue due to the deadzones.

Yeah I use a controller but whenever I have to aim like with sniping I switch to mouse.

I still don't understand why the sniping/shooting in this game is so bad when they made a hitman game where all you did was shoot and it was awesome.

edit: and they removed point shooting. did they lose a backup or something?

I bought the intro on day one and just bought the upgrade last night. Sapienza is a truly incredible level. Marrakesh is completely destroying me, but I'll hopefully be caught up by the Episode 5 release. GOTY so far.

In the end, my SASO run took over 7 minutes - double poison with lethal poison vial and syringe, never needed to infiltrate the top floor. No coins used because I didn't bring any. I'm happy with this approach.

I just did The Kilie Agitation after having skipped it when it came out, and I realized that the latest updates have really shaken up the (SA) strategies you can use here - you can use lethal poison, and you have more explosion options.

The soldier you need to blow up will be the one dragging the body bag if you poison the purple-shirt guy. That could really speed things along depending on his route...

I had a better time with this one than I would have had if I did it when it came out.

It would be nice if you could use point shooting on a level once you'd reached level 20 mastery on it. Totally game breaking obviously, but so much fun - I did enjoy Absolution for what it was and miss some aspects of it, even if I love the direction they ultimately took here :)

And yeah, the sniping controls are horrible on the PS4. I'm assuming that might have been a balance decision, but they definitely need to revisit that one.

Tons of little issues here and there that I really hope get fixed. For instance, a lot of the outfits have some sort of clipping, especially noticeable when dragging bodies. And when doing that, notice that if you rotate your character, the animation looks choppy as hell, whereas it looked fine in Absolution. Plus, the holster transition animation looks incredibly rough, probably because it was patched in, and the animation frames weren't changed properly to accommodate that.

Also, the grounded neck snap animation is MadTV levels of hilariously terrible.

^It gets the job done.

Anyone on Xbox, would you like to share one of your contracts? Stuff like this should be cross-platform :/

Today's escalation is The Seeger Beguilement in Paris.

The guy I accidentally electrocuted during elusive #8 is the level 1 target, and you basically have to electrocute him here.

This feels like vindication.

Look who is famous!

And lol the guy asking 10 levels as a starting point. Previous games had only 11 levels...

Completed the elusive

Target is in a secure room in the attic, bodyguards outside have the keycard. Once you're inside there's one guard and two hackers in there. Target is the one without the cap.

Found his location. In retrospect there was one incredibly obvious place if you know the level.

I'm glad that the place where you normally get a disguise has been expedited by cutting out the
guard conversation that normally occurs.

I found them, and restarted before completing the contract. I'm going to look in the basement and catering area and see if I can find someone talking about delivering jam up there.

Oh I found him fast, as I went there to take a hidden stored item.
Thing is, I'm stupid and I failed.

I'm dumb. I had restarted a pair of times while explored the level and started approaching the target area. Then on the third retry I kind of... forgot I was playing an ET so when my status turned to hunted (I planned to restart again, so whatever), I just let myself killed when one guard tried to capture me, instead of pressing Esc->Restart, thinking it was functionally the same. Obviously it isn't.
I forgot. Give me one more chance IO O_O

It was sloppy as hell, but I completed the Elusive Target. Finally got my Absolution suit too, as I only owned the Intro pack for ages and so missed out on a bunch of the other targets for a while.

Started as a waiter in the basement to see if the jam would come into play down there. Nope, or if it did I left before anything happened with it. Found the hackers easily in the attic, lucked my way into the secure room - at the exact moment the target helpfully identified himself with a jam remark. Poisoned the jam (which the target then wouldn't eat at all...), so I threw a wrench at his friend then rushed him down.

I'm no hacking expert, but I'm pretty sure all the incidental dialogue is gibberish (on purpose).

lol. Im still salty that I did that to myself as well

The perks of having two copies: redeeming yourself after making a really stupid mistake like that.

...and yet I still forgot to turn off the power the second time, but I wasn't standing on the puddle so I survived lol

Game was stuttering like crazy for me (even though afterburner showed it was a solid 60fps) after updating my drivers. Turns out, Nvidia Control Panel had set my vsync to "fast" instead of "on". Is that only intended for certain monitors or something?

Had to shoot him and sprint out of the room with guards chasing me, closest I've ever come to failing.

I threw a wrench at one guard outside then choked out the other one, then I almost immediately got my cover blown by the guard inside, forcing me to punch him and the second hacker out then shoot the target.

Managed to Silent Assassin this one, though I was sloppy about it.

Was anyone finding that the target wasn't eating the jam? I assumed they were going to pull a similar trick from the twins ET and have the target make the other guy try it, so I didn't poison it. Might be that it doesn't trigger him to eat some unless you've interacted with it.

Ended up knocking out all 3 guards near the target, spiking the other guy's wine to make him sick to split them up and then knocked him out/killed the target.

Enjoyable, but I think I've had my fill of Paris.

I took this approach as well.
Went back for my Tux thinking I would be able to walk out the front door and it seems the entire building except for the first floor is completely off limits. SA ruined since I was found trespassing and escorted out.

Anyone use the syringe for this?

I feel like it's the safest option now since it no longer makes noise and bodies found no longer count against you, but I haven't had many chances to test it out.

That was sloppy as all hell.

Got a bodyguard disguise
Subdued the two guards
Had to punch out the shotgunner (fuck)
Shot both of them when they had their backs turned.
Climbed down a pole to the 2ND floor
Escaped through the basement
I'm trembeling.
