HomeLand on hold...

Uh, oh...

...hopefully it's being shifted over to DS, the concept and design looks to fit better there anyway. This game was kind of a big deal for Nintendo, wasn't it?

Or maybe, just like Tales of Legendia....

Yeah, I was actually looking forward to Homeland quite a bit...Does ChunSoft usually publish their own games?
Sometimes they do... though they have had their games published by Square Enix, Nintendo and Sega before.

I don't think nintendo was involved, but moving it to the DS makes more sense.
Not directly involved, but I think they lobbied hard for it. DS does make the most sense for a new platform though, given it's capabilities and the target audience. A PS2 port could work too.

Well, HomeLand would make a pretty faithful translation to DS (the visuals are about N64 quality anyway). PSP could be possible, but Nintendo went out of their way to get this most likely and they're even lending ChunSoft the Pokemon brand for the new Mysterious Dungeon DS game. It's a better fit with the audience too, PSP's more suited to ChunSoft's Sound Novels.

Also, we don't know if Project Melfes is a PSP game (or even if it's what became of Legendia). Though both are likely imo.

Due to Magic Box's propensity to talk out of his arse, I'd like to know the original source for this, if anyone knows. Not seen it mentioned in Japanese press, or even on Chunsoft's home page.
