Those same people who pre-ordered this will most likely talk about how they didn't like it and then buy the third one.

I am not talking gamers who don't like anything but people who genuinely disliked it.
Like i said, you would be surprised by how many people "hate" or dislike a game for stupid reasons (that maybe are important to them).

I lost count of how many people abandoned the game because digital acting was not great in the first one, and they fixed this stuff in spades, many people can't get immersed in a story if characters acts like mannequins.

People was down on aloy being a snarky cunt and she laugh more in the few trailers we saw compared to 50 hours of the first game.

People didn't understood that the game was primary a tps and they wanted a functional and viable melee system with combos, special moves and shit, now they have it in the sequel.

Small examples but you get the gist.

High 80s possibly low 90s but come the end of the year people will look back and go "yeah that was overrated"

I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn right now, final stretch, two main quests left. 5 years later and I'd say it's underrated. Unless they mess something up the sequel has the potential to be amazing. I'm going with 93-95.

80-85
The first game was fun but alright. I loved me killzone as well but those games were along the same in overall experience. For some reason I just figure from their track records that Guerilla just doesn't have what it takes to make the game a true 90+ title for metacritic that is.
What is "true" 90+ MC? I guess this is somehow not "true" 90+?

Guess I triggered the fanboy. Thanks for posting one of my favorite games of the ps3 era.

I'm guessing 93.

Between this, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk next gen, FF16 and God of War, it's looking like a completely loaded gaming here. Really pumped to put my PS5 to work.

I thought it was good at launch but parts of the last few quests were poor and the more I thought about certain design decisions the less I liked it.

90+. If not, i'll delete my account, castrate myself, perform hara-kiri, play The Medium for atleast 1 minute, and force myself to enjoy Halo Infinite's story.

The same as zero dawn So a 89.

But its to call seeing that we've only seen like 25mins of gameplay.

It's not perfect but the flaws are really minor imo.
One thing I really don't like is not being able to climb everywhere, makes it feel old today. The dialogues could be better too, Aloy always seem completely uninterested in what's being said, they've not managed to express her emotions well. Exploration is lacking too.
But I love the combat with the traps and the machines are among the best enemy designs ever. If they've improved the bad parts in the sequel it's going to be awesome 👌

89 I feel, but could be in the 90s. Shame it'll be restricted by the PS4 version in scope but we should see 60fps so that's a win.

Well tbf she is trying to save the world from total distruction while tribes have their petty ass problems.

I voted 86-89. Hopefully it scores even higher, but anything 80 or above should be considered generally received as a great game.

89

US gamer gave it a 4/10 and that dropped it below 90.
Bunch of bitches, even if you dislike everything about the game, just the graphic, enemy design, ranged combat and old days lore are objectively enough for a full 7 no matter how hater you can be.

I remember that one. Probably one of the worst reviews I read last gen. The author was obviously seeking things out to complain about, nitpicking the littlest things such as why would Aloy bother to do side missions.

It was just a bizarre read.

Almost all AAA games these days gets at least a 85.

90+ is much harder, because publications who give the game a 'good' 4/5 is translated to a 80. There needs to be much more of a consensus that it's a great game to get 90+. If some reviewers give it a 7/10, that 90+ starts to get out of reach.

Zero Dawn averaged an 89 and Forbidden West looks a step above in pretty much every regard.

I think H:FW reviews very well critically and lands a 92 average.

You can tell people saying 85 or below are downplaying it due to the FOMO

And I'm not gonna lie, i wouldn't be thrilled to play it on ps4 either
