No they didn't. These are second-hand "impressions" from watching some random person stream. It's pretty telling that you're getting your impressions from that shitty /v/ thread instead of NeoGAF, though. You know, that place that has a hard-on for this game's failure, particularly because it features people of color and a nonsexualized lead female character.

For the record 4chan hated the game before it came out lol.

Anyways. The fog is a real "problem". It's everywhere and clearly hides the draw distance. But the game looks amazing and the fog is pretty well done as to not detract from it.

Not only that. I find games that you need lock on to be annoying in combat really. I like the controls to be precise enough that I don't have to rely on a lock on. Not to mention lock on done badly is worse than none (witcher two I'm looking at you).

As some one said dragon's dogma had no lock on and that was the best combat (so far) of any rpg I've played.
