I think Horizon will be received just like the others who resemble it but with more popularity than let's say Assassin's Creed.

Once the wow factor will be gone, it will just be another fancy open world game with little to no NPC interaction. And is it me or there has not been any character introduced by any of its video? No village either. The game looks pretty lifeless to me...

Some of the responses in this thread see hilarious. User base is irrelevant. If I'm not mistaken, there is only one ps4 game 1st post game that has even reached 3 million, which is uncharted 4. That said even with the insane user base, it's still only passed Mario Kart 8 by 700k units.

The only thing stopping horizon from selling is horizon. It looks absolutely breath taking and a blast to play. Honestly it's like this and Zelda we cut from the same cloth, hence the comparisons.

Guerrilla didn't have the best track record with gameplay, but you know what, bring in third person could be guerrillas stronger suit. So I'm pretty optimistic it'll deliver.

The other thing, which shouldn't be an issue is that the protagonist is female. I think it's better now than in the past, but some people (males) still have issue playing as a female...... Which personally I think it's silly. But I get people Feeling like the character is a representation of themselves the player, as opposed to hiding the character through their story, but meh.

Anyway, both games have the space to be run away successes, so they're no real reason for concern at all. As a gamer should be excited that we have two potentially amazing games to enjoy to kick off the March and get us through the rest of winter.

I'm one of those rare people that usually has the Sony/Nintendo combo so March is absolutely going to destroy me financially.

Nah. I mean the amount of peopel getting a Switch on launch will be limited, so I doubt it will affect it that much.

It's going to affect me though. It's going to be tough to find the time to play through both!

I'll buy both, I was planning getting both games first day, but I realized that i only have time to play one, si i made my choice

Zelda comes first, and then a few months later horizon, with the added benefit of a discounted price

Horizon isnt Uncharted and Zelda isnt Mario Kart

Feel free to show me a video I missed that shows something else than a woman and robots!
I'm away right now someone else will. But the concert going on in here is hilarious. There's an entire story trailer showing off different important people. There's a gameplay trailer from tgs of her walking thru a village

Edit: you did it yourself*nods head in approval.

From the live stream today:

We learn that there will be many NPCs in the world, and in some cases they’ll join Aloy on her quests and fight alongside her, while in other cases Aloy will be able to join them on their own quests.

Players will be able to ride other machines later in the game, not just the Broadhead that we have seen so far. Postma was asked whether we’ll be able to ride flying machines, but he said he couldn’t answer that question (some might consider the lack of answer interesting on its own, but of course that would be just speculation).

Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game.

yes you are.

I was originally going to get horizon day one but now I'm holding off because of Zelda... I imagine a decent chunk of others will too but not enough to drastically effect the sales of horizon. Probably a few thousand or so and some of those people (like myself) will still pick up horizon at some point down the road anyway...

So imo it will make a difference in sales... but nothing too major

I know AAA games are getting more action and story driven, but I hope Horizon has dungeons/puzzles like Zelda. I swear uncharted has so much wasted potential cause it devolves into running and gunning. Unfortunately Tomb Raider followed suit, although they got better in Rise.

Horizon isnt Uncharted and Zelda isnt Mario Kart
I don't get what you're going for here. No one said anything about those games being either. That whole paragraph was to debunk that higher install base=higher sales. I didn't mention Zelda or Horizon at all in what you quoted.

Uncharted 4 sold 8.7 million copies.
