House GOP may pass Senate's "skinny repeal" outright. CALL YOUR SENATORS.

fuck it. Just rubber stamp that turd and fuck it all down.

Every single Senator should have to answer why they voted for it when they seemingly hate it.

That's the US in a nutshell over the past year: a leap of faith into a hole straight to hell.

Once again, fuck you, John McCain. Lying through your disgusting, yellowed teeth. I have no sympathy for you and your terminal cancer diagnosis. Go to hell.

If anything I'll call my Republican senator and complain this shit doesn't do enough. Say I didn't vote him in for a half assed appeal. That would likely end up in the same result.

Is this enough for the bill to pass

Looks like it. It'll be 50/50 with Pence being the deciding vote again, and then House Republicans will straight pass it so they can try to pass all the blame to Senate Republicans, which is why Senate Republicans are trying to warn them against straight passing it.

Sounds like this is their only way to keep the healthcare bill initiative alive by tossing it back to the house even if it's trash under the assumption the house isn't going to vote for it(which it won't unless freedom caucus is totes cool with abortion now).

Y'all watch the press conference. Graham wants an actual assurance from Ryan. He will be a no until that happens.

I guess Ryan can assure them then turn around and vote on it anyway.

This is what I expect to happen. They'll put the blame on the House. At the very least, he better be a 'no' until Ryan releases a public statement saying so.

Sure. And McCain gave a speech yesterday about some bullshit about going back to procedural order.

Yet he'll vote for this without any debate or knowing what's in it. FUCK these people and McCain is the biggest hypocritical bitch this world has seen.

You ever notice how the GOP never actually supports the healthcare bills it comes up with?
It's always "Yes this is shit but we're sending it to be fixed by the Senate/House/conference/Jesus".

If none of you hacks can come up with a good bill, maybe you should stop trying to "reform" healthcare. It is clearly beyond you.

He's just trying to cover his ass so he can claim he made an effort to stop the House from going "lol fuck a conference" and straight up passing it.

....i agree with removing the ondividual mandate but not the other shit

Without the mandate, the rest of the system collapses. You need younger, healthier people buying insurance to help offset the costs of older, sicker people buying in, too. It doesn't work without everyone.

Yeah this is officially insane. They don't want to pass the bill but want to pass something in the Senate because it shows they did "something".

Well, McCain seems to still be on his epiphany mode that congress should work together.

Then why does he keep voting to press this thing forward and why did he vote for the BCRA? If he actually kills this thing, I'll be stunned. He's saying right now that all he wants is an assurance of a conference, even though the House doesn't have to do it, Ryan isn't planning to do it and the repeal can go right to Trump's desk without it.

This is peak cowardice. "We want to pass this bill, but don't actually want it to become law." So don't pass it?

My senators are from Alabama.

How can I help?

Deep red senators are good targets to call.

Right now they think the only way they lose is if if they get primaried from the right. But if the shitstorm from tens of millions of people losing health insurance gets bad enough, there's a chance a far right democrat could mount a challenge against them. You've gotta let them know there's a political penalty to be paid for this.

This is what happens when you lie for 8 straight years about having a plan to replace the ACA with something better but really don't have fucking shit to show for it.

They weren't lying. They always meant better for them and their wealthy benefactors. The fact that their constituency has grown to appreciate not having their entire lives spiral into chaos due to even the most mundane medical issues is the proverbial fly in the ointment.

Thanks I just tried calling Richard Shelby from Bama twice, but got nothing. Not even a voice mail.
