How’s your hairline holdin’ up, Gaf?

40 and it's obliterated.
Started losing it at 22 and it’s now gone at 42. The doctor told me that I had an unusually high amount of testosterone in my system which is what caused it.

You don’t really think about it after awhile, unless you work in a middle school and the kids constantly remind you of it. 😢

OK, I shut up.

Edit: Though I have to say that Elon Musk is one of my least favourite people in the whole wide world.
Yeah hair transplants are pretty obvious for people past their 40s. It's kind of like hair color dying. Just let the shit change naturally. Humans lose their hair.. it's normal so either shave it all off or wear a hat.

Unless you're terrible with money and have a bad attitude, then by all means get the hair plugs.

Bald head and a beard is instant win for most men (not all, but a high ratio)

Same with men going grey, most women like it tbh

You're both right! Hair transplants and dye don't do the job because it both shows some kind of insecurity. Guys with a shaved head - unless they're skinheads-look good! Better than any effort to conceal it.

Most hairloss nowadays is not ony naturally anymore. Its an increasing problem even for women nowadays that lose hair early.

- Stress
- Chemicals in food and other things
- Radiation

Hairline receded when I was in my late teens then slowed down and basically stopped. I went from having terrible hair (relatively speaking) at 20 years old to pretty decent hair in my mid-30s. I have definitely lost more since then but not much. I will probably get the temples filled in when I hit 40 and reach my mid-life crisis, though.

33 and hairline is receding a bit and thinning on top. Took Finasteride for 2 years and it helped, but ultimately decided the bad outweighed the good. I'm also really grey for my age. Moreso than anyone else I know.

In my 40s. Still a full head of hair. I'm going to assume if my hair hasn't fallen out yet, I'm not going bald. Grey hairs started coming 10 years ago (like 2 hairs I plucked out in the same spots). Past 5 years it's coming fast. Not George Clooney salt n pepper yet, but getting there in maybe 5 more years.

My grandfather had a bald spot on top but had a thick head of hair otherwise. My dad still has his hair. I'm pushing 40 and still have mine. 23andme says I have a 50/50 chance of early hair loss.

it's starting to slighly receed. i had my hair short (like a #3 buzz) for a long time, but now i'm letting it grow out. (keeping the sides short, top long). looks and feels good so far imo

Started losing mine at 17. When I was about 24 I shaved the whole lot off and never looked back. Happily rocking a bald head ever since and not one fuck given. Yes, it took me a few years to take the plunge because I stupidly wanted to hold on to my hair, I kept thinking it might grow back lmao.

Have had the same hairline since I was a teenager. Basically huge forehead, but the hair is there.

Maybe I should try the shaved head + beard look. Never done it before.

Norwood 2.5-ish. Have always had a slight widow's peak and had some receding in my late 20s. Now 37 and its still thick on the crown and sides. HOLD damnit HOLD!

Color - some greying on the sides and still light brown to dark brown on top with some grey intermixed. Beard has had some grey since late 20s and I'm tending to go without beard lately since it does age me considerably as they grey takes over. I used some Just for Men touch of grey on my beard to hilarious results last year as my grey turned blue/purple. Fun times.

What is this obsession people have with their hairlines?, It's just hair!
(says someone who is forty and has the same amount of hair he had when he was a teenager)
I would like to add an inch or two to my penis though.

Doesn’t look like it’s changed at all, kind of weird my brother who is much younger than me is now graying and his husband is completely bald. Dad was bald by the time he was my age and my grandma is also completely bald but grandpas hair survived chemotherapy... guess we will see 😆

I can fit 3 fingers between my brow and middle hairline. I think that's good. I also read on the hairloss blog of a well-known transplant doc something about your hairline in relation to your forehead lines when evaluating recession. I have hair in the middle of my forehead lines. So that's the Good.

For the bad: I've got that M shape thing taking hold but it's probably even more annoying that the corners are thinning and receded but not actually bald. So I've got the low hairline but the corners are thinning. It would probably look better if I shaved the M pattern in because you can't do anything with the thin hair.

Thinning/Thickness: I used to have super-thick hair. I ONLY even got a haircut because my hair had to be thinned out regularly. When I was young no one had these big thick high hairdos, maybe if you had the texture to rock a hi-top fade. So I used to go get my hair cut with those choppy thinning scissors every few weeks. Now, it's the opposite: I mostly go to get the sides/back shaved down, because having thick hair everywhere except the top really accentuates the thinning. So yeah, the hair on top has thinned overall and doesn't grow much. I have a spot on the crown but I'm taller than most people so no one really looks down on it and the hair can be brushed in the right direction to eliminate in. I have sort of waves of thin areas on the middle.

I started using Rogaine on my face when I was around 32. Then I noticed I had the corner thinning and probably should have used it on my head. Around 35 was when it really got bad and then settled in for the most part. I've been maintaining using topicals and will probably continue that but I'll never have thick hair again.

I'm 42.

My hairline never receded so far and I'm 34. My hair is still very thick. But you never know what can happen in a few years. So far - I'm happy.

But I am definitely starting to see a few white hairs on my head/hair and beard. So pretty much a telling sign of that I am OLD as fuck.

*Touches wood*

34, long hair. Hairline staying put. My hair is thick as fuck.

Couple of grey hair here and there but that's ok. Actually like it. Luckily I've been blessed with good facial skin (very few winkles) so it's a bit of a cool contrast (grey hair on young face).

I don't blame em. Imagine being a baldy and seeing a glorious mid-30s head of hair like that.

I'm not bald. I just think you've got an unironically overconfident way that makes your comments sound weird.

I'm just saying OP, you're being a bit rude and that topic is quite sensitive so that's why some of the responses in this thread may seem rude to you.

But anyway, congratulations on your beautiful hear!

Mine is kinda fucked. I'm 34. Some years back, I had a literal nightmare where I looked into the bathroom mirror and my hairline looked like Danny Glover's from Predator 2 / Lethal Weapon. You know, that upside triangle or McDonald's "M" shape lmao. I woke up in a panic. My hairline isn't that bad but I'm mixed and when I shave my head, I can't even line myself up anymore T_T My dad's side of the family goes bald early, my mom's side goes gray early. So I'm doubly fucked.

crown is thinning but I'm also nearly 40.

if it comes to it I'll just tattoo the sides of my head and buzz it all off.

24 and mature hairline. I wake up every day with fear of God.

Not a single male on my father line is bald and my maternal grandfather only become NW3/4 in his 40s so i should be good... but im afraid
